Just wondering if anyone else in here has read this AMAZING series by Stephenie Meyer. It is honestly some of the best writing I've ever read and I'm sooo looking forward to the final book in the series, "Breaking Dawn", coming out this August! For those of you that don't know what this marvelous work of fiction is, it's a series about a girl named Bella who falls in love with a vampire, Edward. The story is filled with romance, action, and some truly heart-melting moments. So anyone in here read them or heard of them? If not..GO READ them! That is all.  |

Well, I've not read them yet, but I own two of them, and have the final one pre-ordered on Amazon.com, so I WILL be reading them soon. Just gotta get the first of the series purchased so I can commence with the reading. I'm getting Breaking Dawn for my Bday in Aug, so I hope I'm able to get the first one purchased and them all read before then. I've heard nothing but good reviews from my Buffy and HP friends who've read them, so I'm really looking forward to reading them.

I have the first book; I bought it about a few months ago but it's still laying in the bookshelf, lol. Going to read it when I have more time. School has been pretty crazy and I'd hate to leave it unfinished after reading a few chapters. I read that there's going to be a movie for it. That girl from Zathura will be Bella and the guy who played Cedric in HP 4 will be Edward |

OMG! Robert Pattinson is Edward?! NO WAY! That is so frikkin cool! I love him! LOL
I went and googled Twilight, and came across the official link for the movie, I had no idea they were even making one! They've got a clip on the main page, I gotta say, Robert's lookin pretty good for a dead guy. LOL Can't wait to read the books, and then see the movie.

Megs, I love you dearly! You are wonderful! lol. As if you didn't already know that, right? lololol.
I've read all three, and unfortunately, my computer decided to be a MASSIVE bitch and have a meltdown on me a few days ago. Kim knows all about it. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I had to reset it to the factory settings so I lost everything! GAH! But, thank god for emails and attachments! I have all 3 of the books as e-books, so I still have them. *grins*
Yes Cat, they are absolutely WONDERFUL! And for those of you who haven't read them, I totally agree with Megs on this one. You HAVE to read them! Cat, I don't think that you know about this, as you didn't mention it, but MTV has something that's pretty awesome called Twilight Tuesdays, where every tuesday they post an article on their site about the movie and will continue to do so until the movie comes out on December 12, 2008!
And Cat, if you'd like, and don't shoot/hurt me for this, I can go ahead and send you Twilight on e-book. You would just have to download Microsoft Reader if you don't already have that. Let me know if you want me to send it to you, and the same goes to anyone else!
And Liz, don't worry about leaving it unfinished. The books are HORRIBLY addicting, so the second you start reading, you don't want to stop. I read all 3 of them in FOUR days!
I also found some AMAZING vids for Bella and Edward on youtube that if I find them again, I'll post the links on here. They're awesome!

Aww... lol, yeah they're making a movie. I didn't even know that his real name was Robert, lol. I just know him from Harry Potter and even then it's not much since I had my eyes on Viktor Krum more. So Cathy is a fan of his!  and now you made me want to read the book even more and I still have half and a week of exams to go! Dang, lol. |

I have the first book only, Twilight. I have read till chapter 10 but then I stopped reading because of school. I might have to re-read the book. That's so kind of you! But I think I'll get the rest of the books since you said they were great so I'd love to have the hard copy ;D
Okay, he's cute, lol. It's nice to see him in a big role. Did he play in any other movies besides HP?

LOL Well, I'm not like a HUGE fan of his, but I absolutely adored him as Cedric, and think he's quite the cutie. LOL He looks like he's going to be a good Edward.
And Angel, if you could send me the first two, it would be great! I've loaned out my number 2, and don't know when I'll get it back, but I know if I get through the first one I'll want to get started right away. LOL I would owe you big time, and love you forever! 
I've been comparing the prices of the first one on Amazon and Ebay, so I'll be purchasing the first one very soon, just gotta find the right price on the hardback. I'm picky, and always get the hardbacks of my fave books (and I have a feeling these will soon replace HP as my fave).

Talking about HP.. what do you think of the last book? I don't know, I mean, it was good but not as good as I have expected. Even some people said they had read much better fanfics, lol. Poor Rowling.

Do me a favor though: I want you to PROMISE me that when you get to New Moon and you find out what Edward does, that you will KEEP READING. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they did replace HP as your fave! These books rock! The romance between Bella and Edward just makes you go "Awwwwww" all over! |

Well, I was spoiled by some idiotic HP writers, who thought that they could post stuff about the book in their author's notes just two days after the release, and I was so upset by what they said I just couldn't read any more. I've tried to go back and read it, but now that I already know what happens, what's the point? *shrugs* All it would do it piss me off further, and at my age, I can't risk having a heart attack LOL

You're right, you don't have too much invested in these characters right NOW, but once you get started reading Twilight, it's impossible to not fall in love with the characters and have an investment in them. And it'll probably happen REALLY fast. And yes, you're right, it probably would have been better had I not said anything at all, but then if I hadn't said anything at all, then there would have been those people who would have been all "Why didn't you warn us/me?" LOL. Hindsight's 20/20, unfortunately. Sorry if I made you mad! |

Yeah, sorry I have this thing about people spoiling any part of a movie or book... I have a teenager living with me and he and his sister are TERRIBLE about spoiling movies that I've not seen yet, and it pisses me off. Just cuz I haven't seen the movie yet, doesn't mean I'm not going to some day, but to them it's like 'if you've not seen it yet, you're prolly not going to' *rolls eyes* yeah, okay. Anyway, not big on spoilers of any kind.
And I'm pretty sure no one would be saying "why didn't you warn me"... I mean, it's just part of the book, and you gotta find those things out for yourself. LOL *shrugs* Anyway, JMO. I wasn't mad, per say, just slightly irritated, no big.
Now, if you want to actually start posting and talking about the fic, feel free to do so, just put SPOILERS in your post title (you can change the title in your individual posts for those that didn't know) so that those of us who don't want to read it, will know to stay away for now. Those of you who have read the book should be able to talk about it, it's not fair for you to not be able to, so if you've got the spoiler warning, those who LIKE to be spoiled (yes, there are those out there who do LOL) can participate, and those of us who don't, won't. It's a win-win situation. You get to talk about it, and I I mean we don't get spoiled.

Yeah, I wrote to the author and ripped her a new one after reading that in her author's notes. It was at Portkey too, which just blows my mind, cuz they had strict rules about people writing fics about the final book. You could choose an option that would keep those books hidden from you, so that you didn't even see the summaries, until you chose to unlock them. So, what in the world made that idiot think it was okay to put in her author's notes just how upset she was that all these characters died, blah blah blah... I could have KILLED her! And her excuse was "I didn't think anyone would read it that hadn't read the book yet." OIY! I mean, her story was one that had been going on for over a year, so it had nothing to do with DH, so it should have been safe right? *sigh* Oh well, it's over and done with. LOL
Well, Terra and I met thanks to BA. I used to run some BA sites, one being for graphics challenges, and she was one of my regular contributors. And she was (still is) a member of a board I co-run (ever heard of the adult archive site Sinful?), and we hit it off. Been BBF for like, four years now. And then bloomingviolets told me the other day that she'd just recently started watching Buffy, and was loving the BA. And I know Kim likes BA, and apparently so does Angel. *starts to sing* Can't you feel, the love tonight */singing* Sorry! LOL Ah, BA, my first obsessive ship.

Nope, I never heard of Sinful before. Is that like a place for adult BA stories? *naughty grins* lol. I don't read BA fics that much, only some from FF.net. I chose the long and finished stories, usually. It would be great if you could recommend another site/stories! It's funny how TV series couples could bring us together, isn't it? I used to love Charmed too, but only the first 4 seasons. It seems like ALL my favorite couples were falling apart that it wasn't even funny! Lol. |

lol. Angel's right about me killing her for saying what happens in book two. But honestly please promise me that you'll read the whole thing. You HAVE to give it a chance. Don't skip over anything, don't stop reading it, read it all. I promise it's worth it.
And as for what's being said about RPattz or as we in the Twilighter community are coming to call him..Spunk Ransom...watch Twilight Tuesdays and you'll get it. He's done a bunch of independent films that have only been out in the UK. I think there's one coming to a film festival around here soon...I just don't know which one. I've heard he was brilliant in what he's done and look forward to seeing him as Edward.
Trust me when I say the movie is going to rock because well Twilighters are hardcore about these books. I mean, Eclipse knocked Harry Potter off the number one spot.
Anyways these books are amazing, wonderful, and just a perfect read. I'm going to the release party for Breaking Dawn and am SO excited about it. My friends and I are piling into my car and going for it...with T-shirts!
OH and give "The Host" a read to. Tres amazing!

Liz: Yep, Sinful is a place for posting only adult Buffyverse fics. We accept any pairings there except Angel/Cordy and Buffy/Spike for obvious reasons. The board has really died the last year and a half unfortunatly, as we've all come to have new loves without any Buffyverse stuff on the air, but the good fic can still be found there. sinfularchive.proboards37.com/index.cgi You can also find links there to other great fanfic sites, my good friend Zo has her's linked there, and she has some amazing stuff!
I used to watch Charmed too, but stopped after Pru died. I can't stand Rose McGowan, and I just couldn't stomach to watch after Pru was gone.

megs: I won't stop reading, I promise. I'm not that immature to stop just cuz I don't like something about it, I'm good at being able to understand stuff before most other people "get it" (I solve mysteries before they're halfway through). Anyway, I'll prolly understand it when it happens, so won't be angry. The reason I stopped with the DH was because one- I already knew what was coming thanks to idiots so there was no surprise left to read for, and two- I can't accept the way she ended it. I'm one of those people who think they've read better fanfic than the ending of that book.  I won't say more than that.
So, I'll continue to read, no matter what. *holds up right hand* Ranger's honor. LOL
