Well, when she actually gets the books in physical, holding the book in her hands form, yes, then she could throw it across the room. Until then, she'll have to settle for yelling. *grins* I was very angry though, Cat, and I really wanted to hurt something VERY badly. And thank you for the promise to keep reading!

Wow, that'll show me to go to sleep early! I miss all the fun!  I'd like to also throw my hat into the BA love - I've got like 2 shelves of my DVD cabinet filled with the Buffy and Angel DVDs. I know there are a lot of Buffy-Xander fans now and Angel-Cordelia was okay in that it made Cordelia finally grow up, but I always wanted Buffy and Angel to find each other in the end. Have any of you guys read the comic books that continue the series? |

No, I've not read them yet. *sigh* Don't get to purchase them for myself anymore, now that I've got two kids doing sports, and activities. One day I'd love to get them, though I have a feeling I won't be too thrilled with them, just from some of the stuff I've heard. *shrugs* Oh well, it's Buffy and I'd love to know what's up.

Liz: Yep, Sinful is a place for posting only adult Buffyverse fics. We accept any pairings there except Angel/Cordy and Buffy/Spike for obvious reasons. No, she wasn't having Angel's child (it was escentially his grandchild she was carrying). *shudders* We're not going to go there, it won't be pretty if we do. LOL Let's just say that the season 3 and 4 of Angel sucked. They killed my beloved Cordy in Season 3, and basically killed the show as well with the storyline.
Season 5 rocked again, but it was too late to salvage the show.

Be thankful you haven't read them for either Angel or Buffy, Cat! |

WOW! Just finished with Twilight and am immediately starting on New Mooon.
Soooooo good! I've already got some graphics ideas in my head, so don't be surprised when I end up with a Bella/Edward icon or siggy in the coming days. LOL
Anyway, off now to start reading.

For me, one of the songs, ironically enough, is Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis. It's an absolutely amazing song and reminds me so much of BE. Another great one is Haunted by Kelly Clarkson. That one is very melodic and dark and reminds me of Bella after something happens to her. Check out the song and then let me know what it reminds you of. *grins* And to those who haven't read this AMAZING book series, READ it! It's awesome!

Yes, you did tell me about Bleeding Love. I think I figured out the song "All Around Me" by Flyleaf though, which is absolutely AWESOME! It totally reminds me of BE!

O.M.G! Just now finished reading Eclipse (well, technically the first chapter of Breaking Dawn) and O.M.G! Sooooooo love it!
I don't think I could type up my thoughts here, there are just SO many -considering I just read three books in five days (I'm going to have to re-read, and then possibly write about them in my LJ, cuz it would be a LOOOOONG post.), but just three little words sum it up I think.
I LOVE IT!
*le sigh* Edward and Bella are just... sooo good together, and I love them! (Mainly, I love Edward. Can I get an Edward? Please? LOL Hmmm, is it a coincidence that the hubby's middle name happens to be Edward?  LMAO)
Thanks so much Angel for telling me to finally read them!! You have no idea how much I'm wishing I'd just bought them all at the same time, when I got Eclipse from Amazon.com. I could have been enjoying them for over a month now. LOL *shrugs* Oh well, better late than never, right? It's going to be an awfully long month though, waiting for August 2, when Breaking Dawn is released. LOL Guess I'll have to spend it re-reading the books and making lovely graphics for my new favorite pair.
K, done rambling. Going to start reading Twilight again.

Question: For those of you who read the books before news of the cast of the movie was announced, are the actors close to what you imagined the characters to look like?
I'm not lucky enough to have done so, so the whole time I was reading the books, I was picturing the actors faces as I read. I'm just curious as to what you think of their choices.

I know I haven't finished the first book, but I read it before I knew they're gonna make a movie about it and I can't say I'm disappointed with the cast cos I think they're perfect! I mean, even Bella looks much better than my imagination and I don't have to tell you how Robert makes a great, not to mention hot, Edward ;D But you're right Cat, this time around I will read the book while picturing the actors' faces!
And yes, Angel! Shame on me! lol.. In a couple of days I'll get more time to read so yep, Twilight it is! ;D

Unfortunately, Megs sent me the trailer before I read the books, so I already knew what the cast was going to look like. I didn't mind though, because the cast looks better than anything or anyone that I could have pictured. I did, however, keep seeing Jacob with his hair actually tied back as I was reading the book, and in the movie, it's not, as James has his pulled back and the directors and whatnot didn't want Jacob to be associated with james essentially.

Yeah, I agree about the Jacob/hair thing. I think it's silly on their part to think the audience would link him with James just cuz his hair was pulled back. *rolls eyes*
Plus, if I'm not mistaken (and I could be since I've only read the book once so far) James was supposed to have had SHORT hair, wasn't he? When I read the book I was pretty sure that James and Laurent were both sporting short cropped hair.... I'll be back to that part tonight with Twilight, but that's what I was thinking. So their James and Laurent are nothing what I pictured when I read, even though I had already seen their movie pics.
And yeah, I can't imagine anyone who'd make a better Edward than Robert. The boy is fine. LOL

You aren't mistaken at all, Cat; the book says that James did
have short hair.
The clothes were frayed, though, with wear, and they were barefoot. Both men had cropped hair, but the woman's brilliant orange hair was filled with leaves and debris...
So yes, they were both supposed to have short, cropped hair, via that quote from the book.
And OMG, Cat, yes, Edward is SERIOUSLY FINE! I wouldn't mind having an Edward, that's for sure! And he's a gentleman too!

Hmmm.....
I want to say that he does still have the accent in the movie, but I'm not sure though. MTV has been and is still doing something called Twilight Tuesdays, which are AWESOME! Basically, ever Tuesday, something is posted on MTV.com related to Twilight. For example, one week they talked about Carlisle's car, then another about Bella's, and so on.
Thing is though, we've only seen bits and pieces on the site as far as actual clips from the movie go, and I do mean bits and pieces. The first completed clip was released the night of the MTV movie awards a few weeks back. It was AMAZING! If anyone wants, let me know and I can post it here. But other than that, we don't know much about how Edward's voice is going to sound. Sorry!

No, he doesn't have the accent in the movie. I can tell that just by the trailers that I've watched. I've seen GoF enough and heard his accent that even with that short little amount I can tell he's using an American accent. *sigh* Either way, he's got a sexy voice. LOL
That's really something they can't change, Edward was born in Chicago, so it wouldn't make any sense to have an English accent. Though it would be sexy as hell. LOL LOVE accents!
And Angel, I said Robert's fine, not Edward. LOL Though, by proxy Edward would be now too, if he hadn't already been.
