*RULES FOR POSTING*
1. Fics must be labled in the thread title with the Rating. ALL ratings are acceptable here, just make sure it's labled.
EXAMPLE: I Still Love You - K - Ch 1/5 or WIP or COMPLETE
Ratings are as follows:
2. Please make sure that you post your story with the following information at the top.
3. By posting here, you are giving me permission to post the story at the Something Just This Side of Perfect site. If you don't want it posted there, don't post it here (or send me a PM and we'll talk about it). I won't be posting ALL of the stories from here there, but I reserve the right to post them just the same. (If you don't want your story hosted at SP, then feel free to simply post a link to your fic in the Recommended Fic section. Those stories I will not be taking without express permission from the Author.)
4. If your story is a chaptered fic, please post all the chapters in the same thread, so that the story is easily located. Just update your thread title with the date of the update when you add another chapter.
EXAMPLE: I Still Love You - K - Ch 2/4 *Updated 3/5/08*
next update: I Still Love You - K - Ch 3/4 *Update 3/8/08*
10-27-08 ETA the following rules:
5. Please no stories that are written in script format. It's hard to read that way and understand what's going on, and to be perfectly honest, it looks bad. If you need help with writing the story the correct way, please ask for help from a BETA. There are plenty of BETA's that can be found around the web. If you need help finding one, ask me and I'll do what I can to help.
6. Do not start posting your fic if all you have in an outline done. You need to have a substantial amount written before you begin posting it. As a reader, no one wants to just read an outline to a fic. We want to actually read THE fic.
7. In going with rule #6, updates need to also be a substantial size. Absolutely NO udpates that are only one (or two/three paragraphs). As a reader, there is no bigger let down than to see that there's been a post by the author in the thread and then to go and not have much of an update to read. So, nope, I'm not going to allow it. If you can take the time to write a good update, don't bother. Harsh, you say? Yeah, prolly. *shrugs*
8. The final and most important: POST YOUR FIC IN THE CORRECT BOARD!! Thank you in advance for following this one, and not making me go all MOD on you.
If you have any issues with any of the rules as stated above, please feel free to contact me. Some of the rules may sound harsh, but I promise I'm not really a bitch. *looks at the regulars, and at Terra* Shut up you.
That's it! Not too many rules, so start posting those fics!
If you have any questions about posting a fic, please ask, I'm more than happy to answer them.
