JDF was recently at the Ikkicon and here are two vids from the PR panel he did. I love his impression of Geriatric!Tommy doing a morph. He talks briefly of Thuy and a "special guest" makes an appearance.

thanks for vids, but i cant understand alot of what is being said in both clips the first clip is pretty much impossible to understand. the second clip is just the same thing JDF has said at every single panel he's done. Someone asked about a memory of Thuy Trang and he brought up the audition for the Green Ranger. Not sure about the first one, but there's nothing he said in the 2nd video that can't be found in another video on You Tube. I really like Tommy, but with each panel I see I start to dislike JDF a little bit more. He just seems to exude arrogance to the point of overt narcissism, and for me it's gotten to the point where listening to him tell the same self-appreciating story over and over again is pretty much unbearable.

Oh I completely agree with you. Sometimes I think he has the attitude like 'he' made the show, and without him it wouldn't have continued. Yes he was amazing, his character, and he was one of the reasons it sticked, but he wasn't the only reason, not even close. I think success wise, he wouldn't even be able to hold a candle to AJJ. She's done so much outside of PR.
There's this tone in his voice when he speaks at these that immediately makes me stop watching it.
Tommy = awesome. JDF = not so much. haha.

She's done so much outside of PR. I hate to disagree with you when you just agreed with me, but Tommy kind of DID make the show. Viewership increased dramatically when the Green Ranger debuted, and dropped when he lost the GR powers the first time. I mean, if what JDF has said is true, and I don't really see why he would need to embellish something like this, parents were writing and calling Saban saying their kids weren't eating and stuff like that because there was no GR (which is why they brought him back in the first place). In that respect, I think it's safe to say the show would have never gotten quite as big without Tommy; not saying it still wouldn't have been big, but he brought a different dynamic to the show that made it vastly more appealing. As far as AJJ vs. JDF's success, I guess it more depends on how you measure one's success. If you're only talking about the entertainment industry then yes, AJJ is more successful, even if her career has pretty much been PR, Felicitiy, a few independent records, and 756 Lifetime movies. But JDF has been successful in his own respect as well, very successful in fact. Outside of PR his resume is slim, but in his chosen profession it'd be hard to find another person as successful as JDF. I mean, I could take up ten pages of what he's done in the realm of martial arts; created Toso Kune Do, sixth-degree black belt, one of the youngest Kyoshi's in history, and was inducted into the World Karate Union Hall of Fame, just to name a few. That being said, I love Amy Jo to death but Jason Frank is clearly the more successful of the two in terms of accomplishments, it's just that you don't hear about him as much because his chosen profession is not as mainstream as Amy Jo's.

Mhmm our different views aside, I still can't shake that overly confident attitude and cockiness which makes me always turn my head.

Not to play Devil's Advocate here but AJJ is currently part of the most successful tv drama series to come out of Canada, so there's that, but I do agree that JDF's chosen career path in the martial arts scene would weigh in plenty. I wouldn't go as far as to compare their two careers because they're two totally different things though!

I have to say that AJJ and JDF are both successful in their own ways.
I have to agree I love seeing JDF at conventions but listening to the same stories repeatedly is tiresome. It would be nice if the audience would just ask different questions and if that happen then we can hear new stories. The majority of us have grown up with PR and know all the stories. I bet if there was a convention where the originally six had a panel, then we would hear new material, but no matter if JDF is by himself or with a couple of co-stars we are just going to hear the same thing over and over again until someone askes him something different.

I wouldn't go as far as to compare their two careers because they're two totally different things though! Sure, she has a successful Canadian show, but in the grand scheme of things that's like saying "Well, I have a liver cyst, but at least it's not AIDS." One is definitely better than the other, but neither is really anything worth bragging about. Let's be honest here, AJJ hasn't really done anything overly successful in America since Felicity. I have to agree I love seeing JDF at conventions but listening to the same stories repeatedly is tiresome. It would be nice if the audience would just ask different questions and if that happen then we can hear new stories. The majority of us have grown up with PR and know all the stories. That's what makes me laugh about the 2nd video on here. Someone DID ask him a different question. They asked him to share a memory of the late Thuy Trang, and he launched into his story about how he showed up for auditions and saw a bunch of girls there (one of whom was Thuy), thought they were trying out for the same role as him, and then makes a joke about how he thought he would have to take them all out only to end up helping choreograph their fight scenes. Even when JDF gets asked a question about someone else, he finds a way to spin it back to promote himself.

I laughed at that too, he even asked what the question was. I love it when people ask him about AJJ because he gets all nervous. It would have been nice if he answered the question about Thuy

As far as who's more successful, I personally think that AJJ chooses not to be a huge star. I think she likes her lo-key profile. If she wanted to, she probably could've been a lot more popular. As far as JDF's ego, I've only seen the youtube video of his appearance at the AFO a couple of years ago and he didn't seem like he had a big ego to me. But, it seems like for as long as he was on the show, he'd have more to talk about than the same things. LOL And hey wk, I liked those 756 lifetime movies that AJJ did!

I like that AJJ likes not being a huge star because the media makes a big deal out suck teeny tiny things and it is annoying.
JDF doesnt seem to have an ego to me either. Like i have said before people keep asking teh same questions every time. I aslo agree he should tell more stories since he was the longest Male on the show and AJJ the longest Female.
I love AJJ's Lifetime movies too especially Fatal Trust, I never miss it
