Possible PR Tie to New Moon Movie

Well, the latest rumor going around the Twilight fandom is that Taylor Lautner isn't going to be hired back to play Jacob Black in the New Moon movie, due to his age and size. They need Jacob to appear to be in his mid twenties, and muscular, and Taylor is only 16 as of this moment. While he's very fit, his body shape isn't what's described for Jacob in the book

One of the actors who's being rumored to be up for the part is none other than former PR actor Michael Copon.

If Michael is involved, would that influence any of you watching the movie? Or would you just go "NOOO Michael, don't do it!" ? LOL I know that some people in the PR fandom will watch shows that former actors are in, just to support our beloved actors, but I'm not sure if that would happen here. LOL

Okay, I'm biased... I love Michael... Haven't seen the first Twilight movie b/c I'm itching to first read the books... But I can see the dilemma here.

Yeah, Kim it would definitely be a great part for him, as Jacob has a big role in the book/movie. It could only help his career at this point.

Liz, I LOVE Steven as Jacob, and have since seeing him used as Jacob in Twilight videos. I would love to see him get the part. BUT.... after seeing those pics of Michael with long hair, I'm swaying his direction too. I think he could pull it off well.

Rach, do you have the books to read? Have you started them or anything?

I'm torn though, because I really like Taylor, and hate to see actors switched. And really, with the way they can do makeup and stuff these days, I think they could work around his size some. It all depends on if the studio wants have to have to put that effort into it. But Taylor's such a cutie, I just hate to think of him being fired. He's adorable and I'd love to bring him home with me. LOL He's funny, and.... just adorable! (Kay, think I'll stop with the adorable thing now. But it's true! LOL)

My friend is going to lend them to me soon!!! I was going to borrow from the library but I'm number two hundred something on the waiting list... LOL! I can't wait b/c I'll actually have time to read them during this tiny break I have!
