Hi *waves* My name is Christiane and I absolutely hate introducing myself on any message board. I always feel as if I'm applying for a job. Unfortunately for you (you'll see why soon) I decided to do this anyway so here we go First of all, please don't ever call me Christiane. My first US American online friend tried to write and pronounce the long version once and everytime I read it in an English sentence now, that makes me cringe After telling her so I got my very lovely new nickname: Tia (you might have been able to guess that ;D). Second, I don't talk much ;D as you can obviously see. Third, I really can't remember when I started watching PR but I 'think' I was 10 and didn't like it LOL. Hey, I was a girl After a 10 year hiatus I accidentally tripped over some fanfic and fell in love with the show somehow. TK was my first and only love until I saw SPD. At first I thought it'd be shallow to say I watched it because S/S were hot. But then I realized that watching it for the fighting and the compelling story lines would be much much much worse ;D So yes, I did watch because of C&A's TV chemistry but the characters just fit together in my opinion. Fourth, English isn't my first language and I'm never afraid to ask whenever I don't understand anything. That annoys some people to no end and even forced me to leave a board before (not PR) because I got insulted quite rudely and the moderator didn't mind. I don't believe it will happen here (everything is too pink not to be friendly ), but I thought I might warn you ahead of time - about the stupid questions that might come your way and my lack of any punctuation both. I'm not a writer (obviously!) but I make graphics - right now mostly lj icons for a whole lot of fandoms. There's a serious lack of PR art on my PC though which I intend to change in the near future; as soon as inspiration strikes. Anything else ? Oh, yes, on a personal note, I'm in my twenties and finishing university in November and nowhere near as crazy as some of you. *looks around* Maybe I shouldn't have said that in my very firts post? Oh well, I might be a bit weird and I love emoticons to death ;D wow, that was short ;D ;D ;D Any questions ?

LMAO Welcome Tia! We're happy to have you join our little home. I'm Cathy, or Cat as my lazy friends are wont to call me. LOL
What a great intro thread! LOL Made me laugh.
Please don't hesitate to ask any question you may have, we're all friendly and more than willing to answer. And, if anyone here isn't nice, I'm not afraid to dole out a virtual slap up side the head (or as my Grandma calls it, "a love pat"). I won't tolerate that kind of crap here, so fear not.
I can't wait to see some of your icons, you can never have too many icons to google at. LOL
And, if you're not as crazy as some of us, don't worry, we'll work on that.
Anyway, welcome aboard, and I hope you have as much fun here as we all do.
My question is, where are you from?

Hi Tia! I loved your "short" intro post - it's a lot like my "short" FanFiction.net profile! I tried, I really did! Get comfy, pull up a lounge chair, and relax - I haven't seen anyone snap at anyone else here. I much prefer this board to some other PR boards I've poked around - mostly, it's just goofing off and drooling in synchronization (especially when Shawn or Liz post anything). ;D I'm still kind of a newbie here, too, but feel free to drop any questions my way!

Hi Tia! Welcome to PC! Yeah, see, you have NOTHING to worry about around here, unless of course you decide to be a butt head (and all of us old timers know which experience I'm talking about), but judging by your post, I don't think that's going to be a problem. And no worries on English being your second language.....some of us who have it as our first can't even cope with it, so you're in good company! Oooohhhh, another graphics maker? Sweet. Can't wait to check out your stuff. Anyway....oh wow, huh...by the way, I'm Pink aka Kim.....whichever suits your fancy. I gotta go, welcome again!

Welcome to the board, Tia! I hope you'll have a great time here! Like Kim said, it's no problem that English is your second language. I have a feeling you'll do just fine!
Rapunzl was very right; when Shawn posts things, there is usually quite a bit of drooling that goes on simultaneously, so feel free to join in! *grins*

^^ OK, so far I've only drooled on my own - but hey, why not ? That would be easier with a *drool* smiley @cathy: Why do you want to know where I'm from ? My mommy told me to stay away from crazy people on the internet and NEVER tell them where I live ;D Want to know my adress ?? Getting serious - I'm from Germany. rapunzl: I'm sooo glad I'm not the only one here who can't do "short" (besides my actual height maybe ) You have lounge chairs ? I'm so staying !!! @kim: I know who you are *insert evil laugh* You're on my lj f-list I shouldn't have said anything about the graphics, right ? So far I've never done something as colourful as PR (I think) but I 'm sure it'll be fun - as soon as my muse can let go of Jason Behr

Tia, of course we have lounge chairs! But they not only lounge, they can recline too! *reclines hers and relaxes*
Don't worry- Cat's not too crazy! It's some of the other board members here that you really gotta watch out for....*looks furtively at Kim and Megs before grinning* I'm one of the normal and sane people here.
You should have said something about graphics! For those of us who can't do them, we love to look at the pretties that are made and posted here by those who can do them! And there are some awfully good ones here too, I promise!

Well, then:
Willkommen Tia!
Okay, I think that was enough of embarrassing myself. LOL Hope it wasn't too riddled with mistakes. Again, glad to have you here, and I hope you enjoy!

First off, Tia, from your first few posts, I can tell that you'll fit right in with the whole lot of us! Welcome aboard!!! Craziness will develop in due time... Don't rush it, it's a marathon, not a sprint As for your English, I would have never guessed it was your second language b/c girlie, your English is way better than some of my peeps that speak it as their first language. Yay, we have another fan artist! Woohoo! Can't wait to see your stuff. So enjoy your stay, grab some complementary food that's floating around and have fun!!!!!! Oh, btw, I'm Rach... The Resident Crazy Person... Hmmm, maybe I need a better nickname for the newbies so I don't scare them off

Reclining lounge chairs ? You're wonderful and will never get rid of me again ;D ;D ;D Thanks for the praise Rach *blushes and thank you* Don't worry Cat: for someone who hasn't used in in 15 years it was pretty good. And I do know our grammar is quite difficult. You were incredibly polite to me though Where on earth is Wissenbach Nevermind, thank you Wikipedia ! @liz: Where are you from ? You watch soccer AND want Germany to win ? Is that even possible for non-Germans ;D Jason isn't cool, he's hot actually - getting hotter every day Have you seen Skinwalkers ?

It's an exciting game and not to mention all those men to ogle, Lol. I honestly supported Italy since it's my one and only love, but since Italy's no longer in the game, Germany it is Go Der Panzer! Haha.. Nope, I haven't watched Skinwalker. The only Jason's movie outside Roswell I've ever seen is The Grudge

LOL Thanks Tia, it was probably awful, but thanks. LOL
The grammer was always very difficult, that's why I could understand people talking to me, but found it very difficult to reply back. I was always afraid of saying it wrong. LOL My poor host mother didn't speak a word of English, so it was difficult to talk to her if Nadine and Karl weren't there. They were such great people, and the country is beautiful! I would love to go back one day and see even more of it. I can't remember all the places we went, but my absolute favorite was going to the Schloss Neuschwanstein. Soooo gorgeous! And Phantasialand was great fun.
Anyway, I'll stop rambling now. (I tend to do that a lot.) Thanks for being polite about my terrible Deutsche. LOL
Oh, and I'd root for Germany too! I got hooked on soccer when I stayed with my host family. It was during the 94 World Cup (I believe), and Karl always had a game on. LOL

Are you watching this year's EURO too, Cat? I mean, I think Tia is and so am I ;D Both countries are tough, I think. But there's Little Kaiser in the Germany team

Awful is such a negative word, Cat. It wasn't perfect but I understood what you meant to say - and that's the most important part. I didn't learn English or French because I wanted to write grammatically correct novels but because I wanted people to understand me in some way (and because my school said so ) English has easier grammar but terribly difficult pronunciation - I was terrified to actually talk in London this year ! Of course I'm watching the EURO - it's nearly as much fun as the world championship we had here in 2006. That was fun ! A whole lot of orange and blue/white fans were in Leipzig (where I study and work) You managed to confuse me though: I've heard all about Der Panzer - noone in Germany says that by the way - but Little Kaiser ? Who or what is that ? Spain has a good team this year and they've been playing very well so I think in case they win I'll be happy for them because they deserve it. Still rooting for our team though Skinwalkers is the best example for Jason hotness - it has a love scene Lots of skin ... no, that's not why it's called skinwalkers

Lol, noone calls it Der Panzer? Okay.. as for Little Kaiser, it is your captain- Michael Ballack. I read in a few places that it's his nickname. And according to Wiki, it's in reference to Beckenbauer's Der Kaiser. Oh well, I guess we can't trust Wiki that much, lol. Lots of skin.. Hmm.. Okay, I might have to check it out!

Interesting that you use our German words for it - and no, nobody calls him Little Kaiser here either (though Beckenbauer is Der Kaiser, that's true. Michael's from the region I live in and I love that he still has 'our' dialect The Panzer thing is a big no though - we're not exactly proud of most of our history so calling anything Panzer would be stupid. Others seem to still associate it with us though :/ I'm pretty sad that we lost (even though Spain played better, though at least they deserve it). Have to go make some icons to cheer me up now If I find good pics that is. My PR collection is rather small.

Now that's something interesting to know And yep, it's pretty sad that Germany lost last night =/ It often happens with the team I'm supporting, just like with Italy and the Netherlands, which is why I probably shouldn't have supported Germany so it would have won, lol. Can't wait to see the icons!

So it was YOUR fault ? *g* Well, I liked the Netherlands because they played so well in their first games, so technically it could be my fault too. The homecoming for our team today was awesome so - about 100.000 people in Berlin ! Feels like we won Icons will go up tomorrow BTW because at this time of night photobucket hates uploading for me.
