Well, it's taken me long enough to post these, I've been meaning to do it for a while now... opps! lol I know that this is gonna make me officially the bad guy, but I think as long as I have them here, then I don't have to say stuff later, and be mean.
I know that I've got rules in the different sections, but I'm going to give a brief rundown of them here anyway. I also will add rules as I think of them, cuz I'm sure I'm forgetting some of them as I post.
General Posting:
1. Have fun!
2. Try not to get TOO far off the topic of the post. A little's not bad, but let's not turn every topic into the same topic.
3. Try to NOT give just one word posts (or posts consisting of a sentence of three words). I've not said much about it yet, and I honestly won't do much about it (not going to ban you for it, unless I've PM'd you about it and you totally disregard my request to stop), but just giving a one word answer isn't really putting much into the conversation (and honestly it's kinda annoying when you see a new post, and you get excited to see what someone's written, only to have it be one word, or one small sentence.). So out of courtesy to your fellow board members (and me
), please don't.
4. RESPECT the other board members, even when you don't agree with their opinion. Everyone has their own opinon, and we don't all have to agree, but if you can't respond in a mature, civil manner, please ignore the post.
5. While it's okay to have fun and say things about one of the guys being "yummy", please remember that these are real people, and that they deserve our respect. So as long as you keep it "clean" I don't have a problem with us having fun and being silly. Just think before you post, 'what if they read this?', and then post what you would feel comfortable with.
6. Even though they are not "real", respect needs to be shown to the characters of PR too. If you can't show respect to them, why are you even here to begin with?
Avatars/Signature Banners:
1. You may use any kind of icons/siggy banners here, they don't have to be for one of the two featured couples. Feel free to use whatever you want, as long as it's not MA rated. *snickers*
2. Banners should be no bigger than 700x150. Can be smaller, but definitely no higher then 200 pixels. I feel that 150/200 is a good height.
3. Please limit your signature banners to one, otherwise your signature section will be bigger to scroll through than most posts.
(Unless they're small enough to fit side by side, which would make them 300/350 pixels wide max, then you may have more than one. Or if they're icon sized, you may have up to seven of them. Basically, it's one line of images, and 5 lines of text is the limit.)
Fanfics:
1. Fics of any rating can be posted here. (YAY! lol)
2. Label your title with the Rating.
3. Please have the general Disclaimer and Author Notes with them.
4. Suggestion: put WIP if your fic is still in progress.
More specific rules are in the fanfic section; please read those before posting or reviewing fics.
FanArt:
1. Art of any rating may be posted here, but if it is of a Mature nature (ie NC17) it must be posted with a link to it. Sorry, but just in case I don't want it automatically popping up on the screen if someone goes to the thread.
2. Please LABEL the post if it's NC17. And don't post it in your regular art thread, post it in it's own thread, so it can be labeled appropriately.
3. No posting someone else's art and claiming it as your own. (TACKY!) If you want to post someone else's stuff here for us to see (like rec'ing fics or vids) you really need to get their permission first, and then state in the post that it belongs to them. (This is a bitchslap offense waiting to happen.)
More specific rules are in the fanfic section; please read those before posting or reviewing fics.
Posting Feedback for Fics/Vids/Art:
1. NO FLAMES! Constructive Criticism is totally fine, and expected, but you can't be harsh and rude. That will get you bitch slapped by me.
2. Absolutely NO badgering the author/artist/vidmaker about updates, or when something's going to be done. That will without a doubt get you bitchslapped by me. It's tacky, and I won't accept it on the board. Period. (section coming about proper feedback)
3. NO one word posts. (explained in the feedback section which will soon be stickied in the fanfic section)
K, that's it for now, but if/when I think of more, I'll update. Sorry if I sound like a bitch on some of these, but every board has to have rules, and these are pretty lenient compared to most boards I'm a member of. I really do want you guys to have fun here, so most of these are more like "guidlines" if you will. Unless it's got the bitchslap comment... then I'll put the hammer down. LOL
Also, I hope no one thinks I'm singling them out, but some of these I don't/didn't think of until someone actually does/did it, then I'm like "oh yeah, I should have posted that rule." *head/desk* SORRY!
