Title: "Simmering Below the Surface" Chapter (1/1) Written by: Shawn Summary: Sparked by a new rival's intentions, Kimberly Anne Hart finally goes after the man she loves. Rated: M for innuendo, sexual situations, and random bits of naughtiness Ship: Mr and Mrs Oliver... Timeline/Spoilers: Everything up to the Dino Thunder finale is canon, except the DT team didn't lose their powers - shortly after its all my AU. Email: Dayshawn1974@gmail.com Distribution: This story is only to be posted at my friend Cathy's Tommy/Kim and Sky/Syd shipper board "Perfect Chemistry." perfecttwo.proboards98.com/index.cgi Dedicated to: This began as a simple scene dedicated to my sister Kim who was having a crappytacular day. It evolved into a nice little romantic, sexy piece and is still dedicated to her, but also the Perfect Chemistry forum. I highly recommend it for Tommy/Kim and Sky/Syd shippers, as well as PR fans in general. Great discussion, fics, art work, recommendations, music vids, and all around good times. Plus, Cathy pays new visitors the sum of ten thousand $10,000,00 US dollars paid over the course of twenty five years via monthly UPS deliveries of change. She pays in nickels and dimes only, so new members should have piggy banks or access to them. So come on over, join, introduce yourself, and join in the insanity and fun of adults who have lives and careers discussing the merits of a spandex wearing group of teens fighting in big robots while being commanded by a cloud of smoke and a obviously gay robot. ~~~~~~ Other men said they have seen angels, But I have seen thee And thou art enough." ~ by G. Moore ~ ~~~~~~ ****** ****** Starbucks Coffee 1734 East End Road Tuesday, October 16, 2005 12:20 PM Reefside, Ca "I want you," Kim exhaled deeply while tracing the rim of her Starbucks coffee, her head bowed, unable to muster up her courage enough to gauge Tommy's expression. Finally, she had said the words. They were out there and she couldn't take them back. She was free-falling without a parachute and sincerely hoped she wasn't making the biggest mistake of her life. Months and months of building their new friendship ever since she relocated to Reefside after opening a gymnastics academy with a close college friend in neighboring Squaresville was about to climax or crash and burn. Either way she had to get this out of her system. "So you want me?" Tommy questioned casually while bitting into his ham and swiss sandwich, and then taking a quick look at his watch. Turning his wrist toward her, he pointed and added, "I think you need to explain yourself, Ms. Hart. And I've only got another thirty minutes for lunch." Kim gave a slow nod, her hands nervously brushing over her skirt. She hoped the pounding of her heart would slow down long enough for her to remain conscious. Clearly, Tommy was in the drivers seat and he knew it, much to her chagrin. She hated being the one that had to cough up the big emotional confession first. But here and now if he kept dating that fugly bit... that very intelligent Science teacher and fell in love, well, where would that leave her? And too many times in her life she felt as if she had just spoken up things would have been different. So this morning when she woke up she decided to seize the day and tell Tommy exactly how she felt. And at the end of the day she hoped to be having some very incredible sex or drowning her sorrows in Ben and Jerry's Double Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. "I... uhm. Look, I want you, alright?" she continued while nibbling her bottom lip. "Is that so hard to accept?" Wiping his mouth with a napkin, Tommy sat it down by his sandwich, favoring her with a cool expression. This wasn't his Kim here today, sitting across from him fidgeting and worried. She wasn't her usual 'take life by the bullhorns' self today. And while a part of him wanted to enjoy this to some extent, he never liked seeing her uncomfortable. "I didn't expect to hear this when you asked me out to lunch. It's kinda unexpected." "Well, look at how much time we've been spending together on weekends lately," she offered for him to consider, unaware that her hand was somehow trying to display some sort of sign language to accompany her words. "Jason even called you at my place last Sunday because he knew you would be there." Her assertion wasn't off base. Still... "We're good friends." "We're more than friends and you know it." "I do?" he grinned innocently, and then took a drink of his Pepsi. Yep, she was going to work for this. "I thought we were just enjoying each others company." "We were having raunchy eye-sex across my dinner table." Arms crossed, she dared him to deny that. Last Sunday night, if it hadn't been for her mother's phone call she was sure Tommy would have left for work from her place the next morning... and would have been smiling from ear to ear. They were so close to finally breaking through the invisible veil that separated them. Of course there was that fugly bit... Science teacher as well. Tossing her hair back, Kim boldly proclaimed, "You're dating the wrong woman." Tommy found himself for a brief moment staring at her beautiful mouth. She smiled when she caught him. "And who's the right woman?" "Me. Your Beautiful. And that's never, ever going to change." So 'his' Kim wasn't so missing after all. She was going in for the kill. "So the same woman who dumped me and broke my heart as a teenager is the same woman I should be dating now?" "Sins committed at age seventeen, like most debts after ten years of time should be stricken off the record," Kim smiled around her Starbucks. "And yes, I'm the one for you." There, her confidence was returning. And his failed attempt not to smile spurred her on more. "We have chemistry, like it or not." "I teach chemistry fifth period. Try again." Cheeky bastard, she thought to herself. "You trust me with all of your secrets, thoughts, and fears." "That's friendship." "No, that's intimacy." She drank from her coffee as new customers entered and found seats, chattering about. The place was packed solid today, giving a busy atmosphere around them. "So, like I said to begin, I want you." "How?" "In every way," she whispered seductively, loving how his cool facade broke momentarily. The way he looked at her made her melt inside. This was some damn good eye-sex they were having right now. He wanted her alright. "Remember last Sunday night when we were on my couch snuggling? Remember how good that felt?" Tommy shrugged wearing a grin. "Vaguely..." She knew he wasn't going to make this easy on her. He's been forward on more than one occasion in recent months that he wanted her closer, and that he was serious about it. Fear of all things to do with commitment kept her at arms length... until another woman came into play. A woman she could tell Tommy enjoyed and respected. "You're being mean," she half-pouted and then laughed. "I know you want me too." "Desire isn't love, Kim." "We have both, Tommy. And you know it." His brown eyes fixed on hers and damn it all, she made him hot. "You're crazy sometimes." "You love me when I'm crazy." He didn't dare deny her claim. "Plus, a woman's allowed to be crazy at least forty-eight hours every month." While dying for her touch, a serious expression dawned on his face. "I still have that 'other' life going. It's not over yet. And I don't know when it will be." Swallowing back a nervous note of fear, she understood the part of him that needed to fight the ills of the world. She loved him for it. She always had. "I know. I respect that's a part of who you are." That was why he knew she could reach him in a way no other woman could. The sheer insanity of the other side of his life wasn't something most normal women could except. "What about the woman I'm dating, Lisa?" "What about the woman you love, me?" Her stare captured his and wouldn't let go. He didn't want to admit what she clearly saw in his eyes. His fears matched her own so perfectly. They were mercilessly flawed, and yet perfection for each other. "You're fighting a losing battle, Handsome." Tommy settled back, enjoying their war of words. "I haven't admitted a thing." "Do you want me?" fired from her lips. "That's..." he began with a half-laugh, "That's irrelevant." But true, and Kim was sure of it. "You love holding me." He did indeed. His gaze softened upon her. "Lisa's nice." "But she's not me," Kim replied immediately. "When I'm in your arms I know you love me, Tommy. I feel it in my heart and soul." Tommy looked away, pausing for a moment, collecting his thoughts. She was so damn infuriating sometimes,. For the longest time he showed interest, while she feigned ignorance. Now that she's sure of her feelings she had the nerve to expect him to just jump on board with the idea of them. That didn't set well with him. "What if I don't want this?" Kim stared deeply into his eyes and knew his pride was at work here, and a man's pride was a delicate thing to deal with. And if the truth be told, she was at fault here, having pushed and shoved her growing feelings aside for the longest time. But once Lisa got in her face two days ago outside Tommy's house, an argument he didn't know nothing about, the battle lines were drawn. And Kim Hart didn't lose wars. She kicked ass in them. "Close your eyes." "Kim?" "Please," she asked softly. He complied a heartbeat later. "Imagine that I'm sitting on the porch of my house. Picture my dogs sitting by the bench next to me, and I'm playing my guitar on a warm, breezy Sunday afternoon. Then imagine a strong set of arms around me, holding me close, whispering in my ear..." Tommy saw them, despite himself. Saw it clear as day and wanted it. "Imagine he isn't you." Kim watched his eyes fly open, his face set in stone. Tommy was disturbed, that much was clear. Her point was made. "There's another way we could settle this?" "Do tell?" Kim met his piercing gaze head-on, offering a sly smile. "Take off work the rest of your day... and I'll take off mine." His eyes dipped slowly, trying not to smirk. When he licked his lips she wished he'd do it again. "Turn off your cell phone, cancel any after work plans you have, and forget the rest of the world exists. Come back to my house and make love to me all afternoon until you just can't anymore." His sultry gaze raked over her, blushing her fair skin. "And if you can leave my bed feeling as though all we truly have is attraction and friendship, then so be it. I dare you. And I'm game." She set her cell phone on the table. "I'll call my job right now in front of you. We can be back at my place in ten minutes. And in bed five after that." Tommy felt so hot he was sure he was sweating or very close to it. Her offer was beyond tempting... it was evil. Pure evil, and he wanted to bask in it. He wanted her more than his next breath. Here she was, offering herself and so much more. Finally. he accepted in that moment that it didn't matter who started this. "We might be ruining up a wonderful friendship." Tempting fate, Kim reached across the table and laid her hand over his. "Or we might finally get what we both want. Each other. The way it should be." Tommy curled his hand around hers. "Sounds like a storybook ending." "I want the fairy tale," she admitted. "And I want it with you. You've always been my handsome prince. I might be a bit of a jaded, cynical, near thirty years old princess now, but the story remains the same. It's always us in the end. I'm just sick and tired of keeping quiet about how I feel about you. I'm tired of worrying if today is the day you fall for that other girl or any of a hundred other insecurities I have. I just want you. Period. End of story." After a long, deeply drawn out brief, she concluded, "And I love you with all my heart." Gently squeezing her hand, Tommy felt such a sense of relief and joy. His hand curled around hers, offering her the calm and ease of knowing her feelings were returned. "I love you too." "See, I knew that. Hence me going out of my way to pay for this incredibly expensive lunch at this exclusive establishment." Soft laughter bubbled out of him, even as he rose to his feet. Walking around the small table, Tommy bent down and kissed her possessively and brief, and then another peck at the end. "Come to my place tonight at 8:00. I'll make dinner. Then we can talk some more about this dating thing." "I want to get married by the fall, so you got six months, k?" Kim winked. "Oh, you're not rushing things at all, are you," he smiled while backing away towards the Starbucks entrance. "You still my Beautiful?" "Always." When he departed, Kim settled back and exhaled, enjoying her coffee once more while tapping her foot beneath the table. "Gotcha." Pulling her cell phone from her purse, that was seated upright beside her, she spoke into the receiver. "Sha, Kat, you two can get off my fucking case now, alright. I did it. I got him back." "It's about time!" said both former female Rangers simultaneously. All Kim could do was laugh, feeling footloose and fancy-free. ******

The home of Tommy Oliver 1992 Valencia Drive Tuesday, October 16, 2005 7:50 PM Reefside, Ca
"Would you please get your own personal life and let Tommy live his," Lisa directed venomously at Kim as she walked off Tommy's porch just forty-eight hours ago. The overnight bag hung over the Science teacher's shoulder, she made sure her rival was aware of its implications. She glanced at it, and then Kim again. "We're seeing each other and he doesn't need you stopping by unannounced all the time. I know you're an old friend of his, but he has a woman in his life. Me. So you need to back off. His bed isn't empty anymore."
Seated behind the wheel of her 2004 black Grand Cherokee parked outside of Tommy's home, Kim angrily recalled her unexpected confrontation with the girl he's dating and how her first inclination was to smack that smirk off her mule-like face. Maturity erased that violent possibility, but she was still shaken. So much so that she didn't even fire back a reply. Her ire had been stroked and her jealousy at Lisa's overnight bag crippled something tender inside her. For the longest time Tommy's been fairly forward with his affection for her, and that he wanted her closer. Time and time again she flirted and enjoyed his attention, but kept him at arms length for a multitude of reasons.
Her issues had issues. And those issues, yep, they had issues too.
But the knowledge that Lisa spent the night with Tommy made Kim sick with revulsion. Despite most men's cavalier attitude towards casual sex, she knew her ex-boyfriend didn't sleep around. So if he had gone there with the fugly bit... with Lisa, then Kim had to accept the painful reality that she meant something to him.
Later that night after the confrontation, while she laid awake in bed long after midnight, Kim wrestled with the green eyed monster while considering a painful question. Had she gotten so careless with Tommy's heart, so sure that it was hers, that she may have lost him without having ever claimed him again? Thinking of him with another woman was simply something she could not fathom being around now that they've gotten so close again. She wasn't sure she could even live in the same city with him if he fell in love with Lisa.
Part of Kim hated how deeply her heart's entwined with Tommy. After all these years, other relationships, falling in and out of love and yet... he's still the one.
Somewhere around 3:00 AM she finally accepted that she had fallen in love with Tommy again. She yelled at her ceiling when the emotion swept over her, and then pounded her fist on her bed. Why couldn't he ever be to her what Jason was? A brother and a dear friend ONLY.
Still, if she's honest with herself, Tommy never fit in that box. Not way back when and certainly not now. Ever since she made the move to Reefside all their flirtatious banter and affection wasn't just simple attraction between two single people, but something far deeper. And while the revelation came as a shock of sorts, she worried that she might be too late. It seemed that when it came to Tommy's dear heart, she was its worst enemy.
Sadly, she was the first to break it and now almost lost it again.
"Never," Kim swore under her breath while shutting her car off. Teenage Kim might of screwed up once upon a time, but grown-up, kick-ass Kim had no intention of giving up. Her man was in there, and by God before this night was over she was going to get her fairy tale back! Today she saw Tommy's love for her, and whatever he felt for Lisa, it didn't matter. She's here to fight for them, and if the Fugly One wants a fight it's gonna be over before she can even through a first punch.
Gathering her "goodies" from the passenger seat, Kim confidently strode the gravel path towards the front porch of Tommy's house, taking the stairs two at a time. She knocked on his front door three times in succession, eager to claim what was hers.
When Tommy opened the front door, he found something he expected and something he didn't. Kim looked killer hot tonight in a pink cashmere sweater, black denim jeans and matching boots. But the dozen roses and box of chocolate candy she held out for him to take were just another example of her quirky side peeking out. As if he didn't love her already, for crying out loud she brought him flowers. All he could do was shake his head. She was truly one of a kind. “You're really trying to make an impression, aren't you?”
“I haven't even started trying to impress you... yet," Kim smiled brightly. He took the flowers and the box of candy from her hands, and then stepped aside for her to enter. She caught scent of him upon passing, having always loved the way he smelled. God, she was so drawn to him. And the way that fitted white shirt hugged his muscular frame had her ready to jump him ten seconds after arriving. “You look good.”
“You look better,” he complimented, and then set the flowers and candy down on a small oak inn table by the door. His arms circled her a moment later hauling her body flush against his. Having thought of nothing else all afternoon at work, he thoroughly kissed her long and hard. Her arms slipped around his neck, sealing them together as time slowed and there was nothing in all the universe except for them. Lazy, pecking kisses eased them down from on high as he gazed into her lovely brown eyes. “You are not going home tonight.”
Kim arched a brow. "Someone's hopeful, I see."
"Wipe that smirk off your face, Kim."
Kim gaze a slow lick of her lips, and then taunted him. "Do it for me."
He did, hungrily capturing her mouth with his, gently parting her lips with his tongue. Gliding back and forth in a lazy rhythm, Tommy kissed her for as long as he desired, until she panted over his lips. With his arms circled round her slender waist, he brushed a last soft kiss over her forehead, and then ran his fingers through her hair. "Good evening, Ms. Hart."
"Good evening, Mr. Oliver." Deeply flushed and breathless, Kim remained in his strong arms, enjoying the adoring look in his eyes, belonging to her and her alone. "Is dinner ready?"
"Tis a feast I have prepared." Tommy's terrible attempt at a British accent made her laugh, to which he gave a bow. He curled his pinkie finger around hers and led her to the kitchen. On the island sat a piping hot tray of chicken Parmesan drowning in thick pasta sauce, served over cooked pasta. Beside it, a plate of garlic bread, and a glorious fudge cake. The aroma had his mouth watering, and he hoped she felt the same. She certainly looked impressed.
Tommy came around Kim, standing behind her now, his hands resting over her shoulders. He bent down, warming the shell of her ear. "So what do you think?"
"Marry me?"
"Let's discuss dating first," he laughed softly, and the pressed his lips to her cheek. "I have a few questions for you." She turned to him, a curiosity dancing in her eyes. "You answer them and fix our plates. Deal?"
Kim expected this, no matter the passionate kiss that met her at his front door door. No matter her place in his heart, he wanted what he felt he was due after all this time. She was going to have to work for what she wanted. "I'm ready when you are."
Taking a chair and turning it around, Tommy sat backwards while watching Kim putter around his kitchen. Something warm swirled in his belly as his eyes followed her. Never did his home feel more like one than when she was here. Just watching her fingertips caress over the chilled bottle of Chardonnay on the island had his full attention: "Why today, Kim? he asked straightway, even though he had a clue when he thought about it on the way back to work. "Why now?"
After preparing their plates, Kim leaned back against the wall by the sink, resting her shoulder there, one boot braced against it. "I don't want to lose you."
"There's more to it than that."
She didn't want to give him the real one, but knew that she had to. Exposing herself was the only way this was going to work. "I... I could tell things with Lisa were... progressing," she managed to say without gagging somehow. "I can't expect you to wait for me forever."
"You're worth it."
His words made her fall in love all over again. "But you shouldn't have to. You deserve better than that. Especially when I feel the same way you do." She took a deep breath, settling herself. "I tend to over think my heart sometimes. I have a problem with letting things go and moving on. I think I've been holding onto old fears and old relationship outcomes instead of dealing with the here and now. I've had my heart broken more than a few times and once I saw you dating Lisa I just... I couldn't take it. I was extremely jealous." She hated admitting that, but felt he deserved it. "So today I I decided to bite the bullet and tell you how I felt. That I love you and..." chewing her bottom lip, she exhaled, "I want our fairytale back."
Tommy's eyes softened upon her. "I like the sound of that."
With the nights first hurdle out of the way, Kim ventured to the cabinet above the sink and retrieved two wine glasses. "By the way, you're a jerk for making the theme song to Pretty in Pink my personal ring tone on your cell phone."
"I cook you dinner and now I get insulted," he chuckled at her. "You're already making me rethink this dating thing."
Pouring them two full glasses of Chardonnay, Kim sat the bottle back in the small bucket of ice. "You love me," she dared him to deny, her tone teasing and flirty. "Dating is just the beginning."
She had some nerve, no matter how correct she was. "I haven't agreed to it yet. Who knows what the night will bring."
Kim walked over to him, braced her hands on his shoulders, and leaned into him. Her lips dangled just over his. "We're going to eat this wonderful dinner you cooked," she began seductively, her eyes burning over him "And then we're going to hash out everything we've needed to say for the longest time and talk about getting back together," she finished with a long, wet kiss over his parted lips, "And then we're going to fuck."
Despite his best efforts, Tommy swallowed hard, feeling hot all of a sudden. He stood to his feet, grinning in the face of her obvious victory. "I'll grab the plates, you bring the wine. We can continue this in the living room."
Kim had him and she knew it. Still, he wasn't going to give in just yet. If he did this wouldn't be half as much fun. "I hope breakfast is just as good as dinner," she winked upon passing him into the living room. The whole time she felt his eyes all over her body. And she loved it how it made her feel.
They settled in on his dark brown sectional couch, the television providing background chatter while they ate.
"A toast," Kim offered, lifting her wine glass. Tommy did the same. "To reclaiming lost love."
Meeting her eyes, Tommy clinked glasses with her. "To reclaiming lost love." He loved watching her no matter what she was doing, and secretly wondered if it were a bit of a fetish in some strange way. She was captivating, and had the ability to charm him when he least expected it. Even now he found the way she ate enticing. "Are you sure you're not just lonely?"
That question threw her a bit. "Of course not," she answered right away, looking at him. "I'm sure of my feelings for you. I just wish I would have acted on them sooner instead of having to see you with another woman before I got my butt in gear. But I am absolutely in love with you," she noted with incredible tenderness. "Do you believe me?"
Tommy paused before replying, "I believed you loved me before."
Kim sighed as an old wound flared yet again. "The letter was a long time ago."
Tommy nodded slowly. "Your parents divorced years ago, but I bet you still remember the pain as if it were yesterday."
She did, and understood where he was coming from. "So you're worried about me flaking out again?"
"You didn't flake out the first time, Kim. You fell in love with another guy. That's life."
There was a undertone of bitterness no matter how hard he tried to hide it. This was still a sore spot for them, and as the years passed the actions were understood given their age at the time, but the emotional scars were still there. "It didn't work out."
"Neither did we."
"And that's my unforgivable sin, isn't it?"
"No," he shook his head, and then forked some chicken off her plate to lighten the mood. "I just want to make sure that you're sure of your feelings. Because I gotta tell, it damn near killed me when we broke up last time. And now that we're older and close again, it would be much, much worse this time. I don't want to play relationship games. I'm to old for that. I just want to make sure you're serious about us, because I am."
"So you want a guarantee of happily ever after?" she lightly teased him, eliciting a smile of sorts. "Because you know I can't promise that anymore than you can."
"I'm aware of that."
"But I can promise you my heart, and my very best. You'll have my trust, respect, honesty, and faith. I can promise that your love is safe with me. It's the most precious thing I have in my life," she trailed softly at the end, and then shut her eyes when his hand caressed her cheek, tapering gently off her chin.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome," Kim replied, smiling. So far, so good. They ate quietly for a time, allowing things to calm as the mood shifted to something warm and intimate. Her thigh brushed along his, the heat simmering through her from the mere touch alone. She found it interesting that she even loved the way his mouth curved around the wine glass... she loved his mouth, period. She even loved that little bit of hair growing beneath his chin. "I'm gonna braid that one day," she pointed to the object of her affection. When he laughed it was warm and genuine. "So..." she hesitated at first. "Did you see Lisa today?"
Tommy caught sight of her out the corner of his eye, patiently waiting for him. "Yes."
"Did you tell her about tonight?"
"No, I didn't get a chance to." Her expression turned cold that instant as he felt her draw away from him. His earlier assumption about what brought Kim to her revelation about them seemed even more accurate judging by the way she just reacted. "You've never really asked me about Lisa and I?"
"It wasn't my business." Kim surprised even herself with the chippiness lacing her voice. "What you and her do or did... Look, I don't want to talk about it."
Tommy could read her like a book, and while it wasn't particularly nice of him to allow her the hurtful assumption she had, he felt maybe she deserved it just a little. Then again, she was hurting and he could never sit by and allow that. "Lisa and I have been dating casually."
"Meaning?"
"Meaning we see each other, but its not exclusive. We don't stop by each others houses unannounced and we aren't a couple. We're both free to see other people whenever we want," he explained. "At work today she was busy in afternoon meetings and that's why I didn't get a chance to tell her about tonight. But to be honest, I didn't really have to. I will though." He then added, "What we had was very open."
The past tense way he said that smoothed things over a bit, but Kim was still distraught over the evil images plaguing her subconscious. Images of that fugly bit... that woman in Tommy's bed, in his arms, drowning in his passion. She suddenly lost her appetite and felt uncomfortable. "So what now?"
"I'll talk to her tomorrow and tell her about us. She deserves that. I'm not going to put it off."
Kim nodded while absently tracing the rim of her wine glass. "What will you tell her?"
"That my first love is still my true love." And there it was, that beautiful smile of hers that lit up his world. "Okay, maybe I won't say it so melodramatic, but still, I'm off the market."
A quiet time emerged as Kim tried to enjoy her dinner again, but the whole time she couldn't touch her plate. She couldn't. Her mind wouldn't shut off when it came to Tommy and Lisa sleeping together. She just had to know the one thing she truly didn't want to know. "Tommy, I ... Look, this doesn't matter or anything, but I need to know something. I apologize in advance for even asking. Did you have sex with her?"
"Is that what you thought when you saw her leave my place two days ago with an overnight bag?" Her expression was one of surprise. He was right all along. "I saw your car pull up when she left. I know she said something to you, but I don't know what."
"Its... its still none of my business." And yet it hurt so bad to think of him with another woman. So much so she felt unwanted tears moisten her eyes. That was until he took carefully her face in his hands, forcing her to face him.
"If you remember, it stormed pretty bad the night before. Lisa and I were having dinner and there was a flood warning. I didn't want her driving home that late on the roads around here, so she spent the night..."
"I don't want to hear this," Kim swallowed hard, trying to look away. Trying to not care and stop torturing herself with hearing this.
"She slept in the guest room." Her misty brown eyes lifted to his. "Alone."
"But..."
"You assumed I slept with her, which I can understand. But I didn't."
"Why didn't you sleep with her?" Kim asked bluntly. "I mean, you're a normal, single guy. And I know she wants you. So why didn't you?"
Tommy drank the rest of his wine and then refilled the glass. "Because I'm in love with you." She stared at him, waiting for more. "I'm not trying to come off like some sort of perfect gentleman, but when I'm in love I just can't be with another woman. Not even under these circumstances. I can only imagine how that sounds coming from a guy these days, but that's how I am."
If he were any other man on the planet she wouldn't have believed him. Not for a second. But his character and strict moral code was something she truly believed in. Tommy had his faults. Many of them in fact, but lying wasn't one of them. Kim's jaw tightened with anger. "I can't believe that bitch made me think you slept with her."
"She's not that bad, Kim. And I think she felt threatened. After all, we do spend alot of time together. She caught me staring at you one day," he laughed softly to himself, remembering the evil eye Lisa shot him. "I think she knew on some level how I felt about you."
Sighing, Kim rested her hand over his thigh, tracing over his jeans. She banished the thoughts of him with another woman from he mind forever, seeing as how she intended to be his last. Nearly a decade had passed since they were last together, and yet it felt so right being by his side. "So I'm still your Beautiful?"
"Always."
Warm, cozy intimacy rained over dinner for the next few minutes as they finished up, and then nestled close on the sectional. Kim relaxed with her back to Tommy's chest, lying comfortably in his arms. The lights were off, as was the television. There were no distractions whatsoever, only their soft breathing and need to be together.
"I've waited so long for this," Tommy confessed before pressing a kiss over her temple, and the sighed into her hair. He breathed deeply this new world he shared with her, having no clue the twists and turns of life that led them back to each other. For one who's enjoyed such a spectacular life, he knew Kim was his greatest adventure. And this was only the beginning.
When Tommy began laughing softly, Kim toyed with his hand, drawing his attention. "What's so funny?"
"I was... I was just remembering the first time we met back in high school. When Bulk and Skull were acting stupid and I got rid of them for you. For the life of me I couldn't think of a single thing to say to you. I just thought you were so beautiful. All I knew was that I had to walk away before I made a fool of myself."
"I couldn't let you go." The sights and sounds of Angel Grove High returned to Kim while lying in Tommy's arms. If she closed her eyes tight enough she could hear Mrs. Applebee's voice as clear as day. She could smell the Tuesday macaroni lunch, touch the small dent in the locker she had since her freshmen year, and see Zack dancing in the halls, trying so hard to impress Angela. Could feel her heart racing while whispering to Trini by her locker about how cute Tommy was and that one day he would be hers. "I don't even remember thinking about asking you to meet us at the Youth Center. I just had to see you again. I was so gone for you," she shook her head at the fond memories of her youth. "I probably drove Trini nuts talking about you all the time. She was such a good friend to not tell me to shut the hell up."
"I know I drove Jason and Zack nuts. I was trying to ask them if you liked me without actually asking and they made fun of me for months about it. God, I didn't know a thing about romance or talking to girls. I wasn't as smooth as Zack, and Jason had that quiet calm around everyone. Half the time I didn't want to be around anyone."
"You were such a loner," she snickered. "I think that only endeared you to me more. You were the gorgeous tortured soul I just had to save and bring out of your shell. And by the time you were friends with everyone I just knew you would love me by then."
"You were flawless in my eyes."
"That wasn't easy to live up too."
"Perhaps. But you were nonetheless," Tommy admitted. "You were the star of every sexual fantasy I had for years."
"And your hand was the co-star, right?"
"That's so not funny, Kim."
"Trust me," she noted sensuously. "You were my fantasy too." And then she laughed. "I just knew one day you'd whip off your helmet and kiss me in front of everyone. Or maybe you'd win a tournament and as soon as you saw me you'd take me in your arms and kiss me. Those were my little dreams once upon a time."
"Mine too." He loved this, reminiscing with her over the good Ole days. "I used to stare at you during the classes we shared."
"I know. That's why I was blushing all the time."
"I used to be so jealous of any guy that could make you laugh."
"I wanted to claw so many girls eyes out at lunch when they talked about how hot you were and what they would do to you if they had the chance."
Tommy laughed, "I had some of the ugliest green shirts on earth."
"Some of my pink dresses looked like picnic table covers." She laughed with him, loving the way his arms held her so tight. "Those days were so crazy with us being Power Rangers and all. I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world."
"Neither would I. Not even your letter or our breakup. Our history led us here, so it was all meant to be, strange as the journey was sometimes." With his arms curled possessively around her waist, Tommy felt the need to bring up what he felt was the last elephant in the room. "Mesogog's gone, but there's always the chance someone new will show up to cause trouble."
"Then we'll," she emphasized, "Deal with the bad guys when they come. Until then I'm going to focus on us," she noted, hoping he knew she accepted the part of him that needed the Ranger life. It was and will always be a tough compromise, but he was worth it to her. "So, us dating," she began while softly running her fingers softly over his forearm. "How is this going to go?"
"You're going to wait on me hand and foot," he joked warm in her ear.
"Try again, and remember I belong to the Lorena Bobbitt Society of Dealing With Men. I got the t-shirt and bumper sticker too."
Squeezing her in his arms, Tommy whispered, "Remind me to never make you angry and hide all the sharp knives."
"Duly noted," she giggled, twisting ever so much in his arms. "So we're gonna date, huh?"
"Yeah, that's the plan."
"And you're going to call me when you say you will, be on time for dates, remember all important days like my birthday and the day when got back together, as well as never blame me for things that are my fault?"
Tommy stared at her, then rolled his eyes. "That's it, we're not dating." When she kissed him hard, her arms locking around his neck he couldn't think of anything but how perfect she felt in his arms. He held her closer, effectively hauling her over his lap while devouring her sweet mouth with a purely sexual kiss. "I take it all back," he mouthed over her lips, kissing her smile.
"Now that we've established our feelings and that we are back together, I think its time you saw the ridiculously expensive, sexy attire I have on under my clothes."
"I am in total agreement with that," he smiled so wide he hoped his mouth wouldn't explode. When she slipped off his lap he wondered if he was about to break the world record for speed undressing. That was, until she produced a deck of cards out her back pocket and tossed them in his lap.
Standing over him, the mute shock on his face amused her to no end. "Strip poker, handsome. That's the game. You shuffle and deal. If you win..."

40 Minutes Later - 10:50 PM
******
"Unh... Unh... Uhhnnnn, Mmmm," Kim groaned hotly while nibbling Tommy's earlobe, her hips rolling into his lunging, deep thrusts. With her legs scissored around his waist, her nails raked over his sweaty, muscled back as he sawed into her with long, smooth strokes that left her whimpering. Her eyes sealed tight, teeth chattering, heart racing a mile a minute as she gave herself to him. His steady rhythm left her shuddering beneath him, their bellies gliding along one another, her hands grasping his ass harder in time with his deep fucking. "Ahhh... ahh... ahhh."
God almighty, they barely got through one hand of strip poker Kim lost before Victoria revealed her secret black lace-trimmed bra and Tommy came after her. That was over a half-hour ago when he carried her upstairs to finally satisfy a decades worth of lust. Then came a world-wind of kissing and tearing off clothes as they fell into bed and each other, utterly aching with passion.
"God, Kim....so good." Buried inside the slick heat of her, Tommy panted hot over neck, his mouth drowning in the softness... the scent of her skin captivated his senses as sweetly as the clinging sex drawing so snug around him. Her fingers coursed through his hair, then down his back, dragging over his spine. Wincing with exertion as her erect nipples brushed over his chest, he dove after her pursed lips with a wet, greedy kiss. She was made for him alone, that he was certain of as his hips delved into hers with harder, surging thrusts that made the bed creak and the backboard rattle against the wall. She clung to him, whispering her love and how good it felt and Oh God, she wanted it harder... So lost in her, his eyes shut, the feel of her hands cascading all over his body while he took her was intoxicating. Every little rasping noise she made caused him to throb, his knees digging into the mattress as the savage music of their bodies slapping together serenaded the bedroom. "Loveyousomuch... Kim."
"Yes... ahhh... ahhh...dontstopplease," Kim grimaced passionately each time his cock chafed over her swollen clit, shooting tingles of pleasure through her body. With his thick cock driving in and out of her, he was quickly rousing another thrashing climax from her like the one that ran wild through her minutes ago. She'd barely recovered from it before the spine-tingling, muscle tensing signs began anew. His hips impacted her with sensuous aggression, taking her so possessively. "Fuck me, Tommy... ahhhh... make me yours."
When his mouth closed warm around her nipple, it pebbled so stiff in the wet confines of his mouth. He drew strongly on the tip, whipping his tongue about the peak as streaks of sensation swept over her. Paying homage to her other breast, his mouth and tongue were everywhere at once. He was rocking into her now, jerking her body into the mattress, and all that she could do was whine softly to the tune of his intense desire.
Time flew body as they fucked up a storm, groaning loudly, sweating, straining against each other until the pleasurable pressure built to a crescendo inside her. The driving hardness stretching her so deliciously sent her flying into a shuddering, quaking orgasm. "Cumming... oh godohgod...ahhh... ahhh can't stop...uhnnn..."
Gazing at her, Tommy witnessed heaven in the way her beautiful face contorted in a mask of incredible pleasure as she tensed powerfully beneath him. He labored above her, committing each second of her intense climax to his memory forever. She was glorious to behold as her orgasm triggered his own. She rippled and drew around him so powerfully he lost it that very second, surging long wet bursts of cum inside her with hoarse grunts of pure satisfaction until he was drained completely.
They soul-kissed deeply while gasping for their breaths. Perspiration glistened their skin and the sheets as their first time left them craving the next and the next after that. The emotional roller coaster that was their relationship hit a triple loop tonight, forever changing things between them.
Finally, their hearts beat as one.
******
4 and a half hours later - 3:30 AM
******
"Beautiful..." Tommy exhaled deeply, his fists gripping the sheets while watching the methodical rise and fall of the pale blue covers over his lower body. The softest pair of lips ever were pursed around the head of his weeping cock, and then descended slowly before lifting once more. He woke up to this pure heaven just moments ago... woke up to the exquisite feel of her agile tongue curling around him, and then the soft smacking sounds of her sucking his cock so good his thighs were shivering wildly. "God..."
"No, my name isn't God," she panted upon releasing him from her mouth, her head shrugging off the covers. "It's Kim."
The urge to laugh was crippled by the incredible sight of her head bobbing over him, her lips wrapped tightly around his cock while her hand fondled his balls. When her cheeks hollowed to increase the suction, his eyes rolled back, his heart pounding against his chest. His head hung sideways, lips parted, his body coursing with erratic shudders. Rising and falling over him, her brown hair spilling about his thighs, he couldn't form a coherent thought to save his life. She was blessing him with her amazing gift of skill that saw him grow rigid, throbbing along the length of her tongue. "This is one hell of a way to.... ahhh... one hell of a way to wake a guy up."
"Let's just say," Kim began while tracing her tongue over the tip of his shaft, "That I've wanted you for so long and I'm going to have you. Whenever and however I want. I woke up with a taste for you," she winked while lapping her way down, and then back up. "Besides, I think Dr.O should get properly acquainted with Dr. H."
"Dr. H..." he groaned while lying back, loving the sounds of her loving him. "What, pray tell, do you have a degree in?"
"Oral Cock Massage," was her cheeky reply, and before he could offer his own she engulfed his cock ferociously, sucking with renewed urgency that left him gasping her name and shaking. While savoring his audible praise of her talent, she suckled just the head for a moment, and then released him on the wing tips of a little kiss. His wide-eyed gaze rained down upon her, bright with need. "Why Dr. O, you seem to be suffering from a case of acute swelling in the penile gland."
Tommy gave a sharp intake of air when her hand deftly stroked him from root to tip. "How... how do you suggest we treat my condition, Dr. H?" Trembling, he swallowed hard in the back of his throat when she straddled his lap, poised above his cock, and then sank herself down on him so slowly all that he could do was grasp her slender hips and groan deeply as her moist flesh spread around him, amplifying the pleasure coursing through him.
Sweeping her shoulder-length hair back, Kim leaned over him, feeling every ridge and curve of him move inside her. Her lips hung just over his, so close the warmth of his breathing fanned her face. "My prescription for your affliction..." she began while rolling her hips back and forth, "Is the love of your life riding you until you can't see straight."
Sarcasm faded to nothingness when she kissed him hard, grinding low and away over and over, fucking him with the exquisite caress of her inner charms. The caress of his hands warming all over her body made her feel so connected to him, as if he couldn't get enough of touching her. Her tongue slid between his lips, while his hands took hold of her backside, anchoring her rocking rhythm over his lap. Vigorous, grinding sex saw them straining against each other, their mouths sealed together, their tongues gliding along. Her body clutched tightly around his throbbing, twitching cock. She swore she could feel him in the back of her throat, so deep was he impaled inside her.
His hands now combing through her soft hair, Tommy suckled her tongue in his mouth while matching her thrusts. Her hips lurched and shivered over him, signaling how close she was already. She was making the most incredibly sexy sounds and he tried to hold back... tried with all his might, but being with her after so long... after having wanted her for years... desired her in every way, being with her now was all to consuming for both of them. Holding back just wasn't possible.
Grunting, rocking, fucking... they were a mass of grinding flesh, devouring each other as her hips pumped aggressively, soaring towards the sweetest orgasm. Her arms locked around his neck when she began moaning deeply, her voice straining, "Aww... aww...aww..."
When she began contracting wildly around him, Tommy bucked beneath her... and then she slammed down hard one last time and cried out his name so loud in his ear the sheer volume nearly made him deaf. Her entire body quivered in his arms... quivered around him until he came deep inside her... bursting so hard his back arched over the mattress, every muscle in his body tensing.
Grinning against his shoulder, Kim rested limply over his body, feeling him soften inside her. She was thankful that not only did she have a amazing man in her life, but the foresight to get her birth control pills refilled yesterday. As much as she loved him they didn't need any little Olivers running around here... yet. The dreamy thought of which made her smile brightly as she laid in Tommy's loving arms, his warm hand smoothing over her back. She sighed happily, sated and dearly loved. "I think you're cured, Dr. O."
Pressing his face against her cheek, Tommy whispered, "For now, Dr. H."
For some reason that set off a fit of giggles in her. "I love you, Tommy."
"I love you too, Beautiful."
******
Early Next Morning - 7:45 AM
******
A man of his word, when soft lips kissed Kim good morning, Tommy's body thrilled her again minutes later. With streaks of sunlight shining through the partially open window, they made love under the covers as lazy and carefree as their souls demanded. They coupled quietly, kissing and caressing on a softer note than last nights blazing passion. Gone was their desperate, urgently raging need to mate after having denied themselves for so long... gone because their love was reclaimed and set upon solid ground.
So they played under the warm covers as a new day dawned, whispering words of love and passion that had been unsaid for far to long, but never again.
Genuinely exhausted and half-awake, Kim nestled back against Tommy, their naked bodies spooned together. His arms closed protectively around her, while his soft kisses over her shoulder caused her to smile. She shrieked a little when he suddenly tickled her. "Stop that," she half-pouted, and then sighed when his lips pressed to her neck. "Okay, that, you can do."
"Its about all I can do," Tommy laughed softly. "You got the best of me last night and this morning."
"I must admit, Dr. O. Your stamina was... morphinominal." His voice cracked behind her, chuckling. "Yes, that was cheesy, but I'm in a fuzzy good mood."
"So am I," he revealed, turning over her to kiss her gorgeous mouth. "How am I supposed to make it through work today?"
"Easy, you're not. Work just isn't something I can deal with today. I want to sleep some more and then eat a late breakfast. Can you take the day off?"
"Yes, thankfully. Consider it done." Rolling off of Kim, Tommy reached for the cordless phone on a small table by his bed. It rung before he could reach it. "Who's calling me this early?" Taking the phone off his base, he instantly recognized the name on the Caller-ID. Kim's eyes were set on him. "It's Lisa."
With an inspired burst, Kim grabbed the phone out of his hand so fast he didn't have time to say a word before she pressed the talk button. Giving an exaggerated yawn, she answered, "Hello, Oliver residence."
"Uhm... Is Tommy there?" Lisa asked tentatively.
"Yes, he's here. Who may I ask is calling?" Kim laid back on the bed, one arm behind her neck. The pause on the other end spoke volumes. Lisa obviously recognized the voice.
"Lisa."
"Oh, hi Lisa. This is Kim. You remember me, don't you? I'm the girl who needs to get a life because I must be bothering Tommy."
"Look, can I speak to him?"
"No, he's exhausted. I think I fucked him to hard last night." Kim imagined Lisa's jaw tightening as anger flooded her system. "You had some nerve pretending that you and Tommy were anything more than a casual affair."
"Our relationship isn't..."
"You have no relationship with Tommy. And you need to get clear on that before I make it perfectly clear for you in person," Kim fired away. "All bitchiness aside, if you'd been a real woman and flat out asked me if I had feelings for Tommy I might not take such pleasure in ripping you a new one. But you implied lies and now I have set you straight. Tommy is in love with me, and I'm in love with him. You aren't part of the equation. Are we clear?"
"... crystal," came a terse, annoyed voice.
"Good. Have a nice day." Kim hit the end button, and then found Tommy staring at her with his arms crossed, shaking his head. Her head resting on a pillow now, Kim smiled victoriously. "One deck of playing cards, $2.00 dollars. A Starbucks ham and swiss sandwich, $4.00 dollars. A ridiculously expensive Victoria's Secret bra and panties set, $150.00 dollars. Informing that fugly bitch Science teacher that I fucked Tommy's brains out and he chose me... priceless."
Tommy rolled his eyes, laughing before wrapping his arms around her again. "She's not a bad person, Kim."
"Yeah, but she deserved that."
"Maybe so," he replied before kissing her softly. "So, Dr. H. What should we do today?"
"Oh, I don't know. Shower, eat, have more sex, walk around nude, eat again, and have more sex. Then later on today maybe we'll teach a class together."
"What," kiss, "Would," another longer kiss, "We teach?"
Reaching around his neck to draw him closer, his body hovering comfortably over hers, Kim smiled, "Perfect Chemistry."

The End This is only to be posted at the Perfect Chemistry forum. Also, the Master Card/American Express line Kim uses, Terra gave me the idea for that almost a week ago. Thanks Terra. Love to Cathy, Terra, and Kim. That's all for now S.

Thanks everyone. This story was fun to write and as it evolved from a single scene to what you've just read, I have to thank people like my sis Kim, Terra and Cathy for inspiring the story. Good conversations with readers and writers like them help grow the story, so to speak. For example, as I said in the authors notes, this story was untitled and a simple one-scene fic that was written in about an hour for Kim when she had a bad day. She enjoyed it, and trust me the first scene you have now wasn't nearly as long or involved. Later one I added more and thought it might be a nice short fic if I gave the TK conversation more meat. I showed it to Kim again, and she all but demanded I expand on it. Then I showed it to Terra and Cathy, who liked it as well. Scene 2 came along as a natural progression, with TK's dinner and all, but then Cathy requested/demanded/put a gun to my head:) for TK sex and then Terra had just the perfect line for the end of the fic and there you go. A simple one scene becasue of good friends became so much more. I'm happy you all enjoyed it so much. Thanks you.

Ok that was a seriously amazing bit of writing. I mean seriously, I was hooked from the first paragraph. You portray Tommy and Kim as mature adults who've developed their relationship into that, an adult relationship that still has the fairy-tale-esque quality we all loved them for. You're charactertizations are stellar and I love Kim's line to Lisa. Too funny. Anyways, totally amazing. I loved it and I wonder how many times I can say seriously in one post?

Okay well you know that I LOVE this story very much!! As always I love the mature relationship that you show us with these two. The flirty banner that goes on between them in Starbucks is amazing! "Youre Dating the Wrong Woman" - I love this line!!!! Its soo true, but of course she is who he actually wanted he just had to wait till she knew what she wanted. And then of course the EYE SEX... perfect line... and I can see them doing that...those heated gazes at one another. Then the visually she set up for him and then saying no imagine he isnt YOU!! OMG.. like a punch to the gut. That showed her and him what he wanted... and he wanted her same as she wanted HIM. And Squeal the FAIRYTALE.. she admits she wants it! I cant believe she bought him flowers and candy...freaking hilirious Strip Poker and Nighties... YUM!!!!!!! DR O and DR H... how HOWT is that... Omg that is like give me a freaking ice cold shower please. Then of course I love the LAST line.. what should we teach.. PERFECT CHEMISTRY... which is excatly what they have.. YOU said it all in that one line. all in all the story is PERFECT!!! Cant wait for the next one. And you are very welcome for the American Express/Visa Line.. when you showed the story to me it just popped in my head. LOL I can be funny sometimes. And I am glad to help out where ever I can...especially if it gets me a new TK story. LOL I have already shown this to Shawn but I thought I would post it here.. his story Inspired me to make this graphic for the story....

*jaw drops* Ummmm.....I.....damn, I'm at a loss for words now. That, Shawn, was SMOKING HOT! DANG! *grabs a bucket of ice and puts it by the desk* Ouch, that was.......dang!
I loved all of it, but most especially, I loved the part near the end where Kim ripped Lisa a new one. That was absolutely wonderful. I didn't like Lisa too much anyway, she was delusional and thought Tommy was hers. Like THAT's ever gonna happen!
