I'm losing my board viginity here by starting my first thread, but oh well. So its 8 AM here in Illinois and I'm board and hungry, so before I start my day and grab some food I'd like to considrer a few interesting PR facts and would love to hear everyones thoughts and for you to add your own. *offers fudge brownies and glasses of ice cold milk*
1. It is a well known fact that despite Tommy's nickname for Kim, he only ever called her Beautiful once on the show.
2. Downtown Angel Grove in the early to mid 90's was the most dangerous place on Earth to live in. Hundreds of building wrre destroyed and collasped as the Rangers waged war against the bad guys. The amount of deaths and finacial structural damage was catastrophic.
3. The Youth Center, this magically funded and free place where teenagers could hang out, work out, join clubs, drink smoothies, dance, practice gymnastic and martial arts apperantly all for free. Ernie, bless his tax embezzling heart, never charged a dime. There wasn't a word stronger than damn spoken in the friendly confines of the AG Youth Center. No one had sex or even thought about it. Kids of all races had the time of their lives there after school. Tis was a place of wonder.
4. George Michael's is gay. Yeah, yeah, yeah we all know that now after his admissions and arrests years ago. But I'm sorry, I knew that man was gay way back when he was with Wham. I dare you to watch a Wham video on youtube and think that's a straight man. Two of my closest friends are gay and even they said with GM, you could see it cominh a mile away. Now I'm sure you're sitting there wondering what the hell does George Michaels have to do with Power Rangers. Well to that I answer with this. It's now 8:30 AM and I'm still hungry. When I'm hungry my mind wanders. Moving right along...
5. In the illustrious history of PR that dates back nearly twenty years now, one episode and one episode only is so easily and quickly ignored that in all honest answers all ship questions. In Zeos "A Season to Remember" we clearly see Tommy and Kat at some time in the future are married and not only have children, but grandchildren. The thing is, that ep is so fan winked and laughed at that most people pretend it never happened and some have never seen it. I absolutely bbelive Tommy and Kim got back together at some point in time, but ASTR tries to defy me so I attack it ala 1992 Steven Seagal who kicked ass and not overweight balding 2008 Steven Seagal that doesn't know when to quit the movie business:) Moving right along...
6. In the history of PR only Wes and jen have exchanged I Love you's. I will someday write Timeforce fanfic as I honestly think they have the most epically tragic love tale.
7. Only Prince can wear a crushed velvet body suit covered in sequins with ruffles around the neck and collar while wearing a perm in his hair and still be considered a stone cold ladies man. Gotta love Prince. His connection to PR, you say? Uhm.... Moving right along.
8. The Command Center's interior budged must have been 30 bucks. I swear, get a couple of Christmas Lights, a big clear globe, some flickering switches on a couple of boards that looked nothing like a computer terminal and some black drapes and there you go. Then attend a Star Wars convention and by the cheapest replica props from a couple of the movies and you'll have Alpah 5 outfit. Just find a cheap, smooth wallmart hubcap for his head and you're done.
That's all I got for now. Later:) S

Brownies and a nice cold glass of milk will get you anywhere. 1. It is a well known fact that despite Tommy's nickname for Kim, he only ever called her Beautiful once on the show. Yeah, it's funny how we all latched onto the nickname and ran with it. Even back then we were all crazy romantics.
On a related note, how about Kim's nickname for Tommy? You always hear her calling him Handsome, but I can't remember her calling him that on the show. Did she ever really call him that? Am I really getting old and senile (despite what I claim) and just don't remember her saying it?2. Downtown Angel Grove in the early to mid 90's was the most dangerous place on Earth to live in. Hundreds of building wrre destroyed and collasped as the Rangers waged war against the bad guys. The amount of deaths and finacial structural damage was catastrophic. No matter how dangerous it was, I think it was safer to live in than the PR towns of today though. I recall most of their fights got moved out into the moutain ranges surrounding AG. (again, am I getting senile?)3. Ah, the Youth Center. I wish we had one of those around here when I was a teen. What a frikkin awesome place! Of course, it would have to come with the standard issue Ernie to make smoothies and cakes, and have advice always on the ready.4. Honestly, who didn't see that one coming? WAIT, WHAT?! There's an episode where they get married?! I think I'm gonna be sick! *Cat makes a run for the nearest trashcan*
Can I help you attack it Shawn? Pwease? *bats eyes prettily* If so, I will do so ala Chun Li from StreetFighter (on a side note, I just found out they're making a new SF movie, based on Chun Li awesome!) She kicks ASS! Between her and 1992 Steven, ASTR doesn't stand a chance!6. In the history of PR only Wes and jen have exchanged I Love you's. I will someday write Timeforce fanfic as I honestly think they have the most epically tragic love tale. I've just recently (well, if four months ago can still be considered "recent") watched TF and fell in love with Wes/Jen. They are the ultimate starcrossed lovers, and it's heartbreaking that they couldn't be together. I for one would LOVE to see you try your hand at WJ. Course, that's only after you give me some SS lovin. *smirk*7. Only Prince can wear a crushed velvet body suit covered in sequins with ruffles around the neck and collar while wearing a perm in his hair and still be considered a stone cold ladies man. Gotta love Prince. His connection to PR, you say? Uhm.... Moving right along. Yeah, boggles the mind, doesn't it? LOL8. Well, we have to cut Zordon some slack here don't we? I mean, he did the best he could for a man who was stuck in a warp tube; he had no arms for crying out loud! LOL He had to rely on Alpha to do the work of building the CC, and we all know that Alpha could be kinda flakey at times. I love Alpha, so I'm not flaming him, I'm stating the truth. LOL
Which version was better, the TV CC or the movie CC, in your opinion? I think I prefer the TV one, cuz the movie one was a little *too* flashy (with the neon lights), and bright. That's all I got for now. Later:) S Well, what you got was plenty. LOL This could be an interesting thread once everyone gets their two cents in.
Thanks for the great thread! You need to come to the board hungry more often. Either that, or on the crack you like so much. *snicker*

I've already crowned him the "King of TK", do we really need to inflate his head any more by making him Emperor of something? LMAO

Can't we just say he kicks ass? LOL... I had to read that last line a few times... I don't know why but thought it said that we should 'kick his ass'... *ducks from Shawn's overinflated ego exploding*

Wait, wait, wait, there's an episode like that? I have no idea as to what you're talking about here Shawn. I could've sworn that any episode such as that would never EVER exist because PR knows that it would greatly upset fans and possibly even cause riots. Wait..or that's what they WANT us to do. Riot and riot until we get the old PR of glory brought back. Did Saban see this day of reckoning coming back in the day? Did he know that PR fans would need incentive to come back and rise to conquer? That is if such an episode ever existed, and I'm not saying that it does. It doesn't...but it's a thought. What if it did? *makes shifty eyes*

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that the new suits the JF cast are wearing are a little strange? Angel and I were talking about it earlier, and if you look at Lily's suit, you'll notice the round things on it makes her look like a mommy cat with teets....she's got three round circles on each side, and the top most ones are under her boobs? Who the heck designed these suits?

I can honestly say, I don't get what would make you think that. They're located in the same place as on the regular morph suit, so it's not any different. Nothing about the suit has ever made me think that. *shrugs*

it's not that...she had spots before, now she has these protruding things on her suit...it was just....weird...*cracks up* I'm probably just sleep deprived, don't mind me
