Story Type: S3 AU - Slight Angst
Timeline: S3 After Kim’s left for FL, but you choose how long after. Needs to be while they are still using the Ninjetti powers, but Kim needs to have sent the letter.
Rating: Any
Concept: Something happens to Kat and she’s forced to give up the powers immediately.
She’s put in a coma and since they’re not sure when she’ll wake up, they’re forced to take the powers to replace her.
-OR-
Since Kim was given the Crane spirit, it may not be transferred to someone else (Zordon is not aware of this at the time.) and slowly Kat has been getting sick whenever she’s used the Ninjetti powers. She just thought she had the flu, so hadn’t said anything till it was too late. By the time they discover *why* she’s sick they have to immediately strip her of the powers or they may kill her.
Since the powers had to be “taken” and they didn’t have time to transfer them, they go back to whomever held them last –AKA Kim. She can have the option of taking them permanently or transferring them again. (*the new person would have to go on their own search for their Ninjetti spirit animal. It’s too late for Kat to do so, as she’s so sick.)
Tommy is forced to go to FL and talk to Kim (since he’s the leader). Maybe he can take Billy to help make him less uncomfortable (he’s worried about seeing her again) and to explain the technical stuff –AKA why the powers were transferred back to Kim.
Possibilities:
K/T finally work it out… but does that mean they’re friends again, or more than that? I'd like to see them end up together as a couple -for obvious reasons- but you can end it however you want to.

Possibilities:
- Kim “feeling” the power returning to her.
- Maybe she didn’t realize what it was, she just felt “funny”.
- Kim realizing shortly after arriving in FL that it wasn’t really her “dream” anymore; that after being a Ranger and being with Tommy, that’s what she truly wanted for her life.
- Perhaps that’s why she wrote the letter. She thought that by ‘giving him up’ she’d be able to ‘forget and go on’ –she figured that since she gave up her powers, that whole “dream” was out of her grasp. {Does she explain to him, *why* she gave him up if this is the reason? If so, what’s his reaction? He prolly shouldn’t just welcome her back with open arms, I don’t see him as being able to forgive her *that* quickly. He *would* forgive her, just not immediately. But it's up to you since it's your story.
} - If she stays –tension between the team, cuz they want to accept Kim back with open arms, yet see how hard it is for Tommy.
