lol. It has been quiet for a while....... A really long while...... After checking a few things, I wonder why some interesting activities stopped in the first place. Like putting in captions in pictures, that thing was funny to read.

The longer this goes on, the less people would drop by or something.....

Well bahamut I stopped doing the caption contest and the prompts due to time constraints. I'm a momma first and foremost, and my two oldest got into sports in the last two years and so between working full time, running them to their activities, I just run out of steam for doing stuff here at the board. Plus, I have to admit that I got into another fandom which drew me away from here a bit.

And I can only do so much to keep the board running myself. To be honest, I got pretty downhearted when we kept getting new members and they weren't participating, and so that didn't <i>really</i> make me want to waste my time coming up with stuff for the board when I wasn't getting any response to it. It's pretty much the same people who were posting, and we're a small number. I don't understand why you'd join a board and then not participate, but I couldn't ever get anyone to answer that for me either. I tried to get suggestions for things we could do to get the new members to post, but got nothing.

I posted a couple of times letting you guys know that I was going to be stopping the caption contest for a while. With me having the baby and taking my leave from the board, it's obvious why I never started doing it again. And I turned the prompts over to Kim to keep going while I was away, and without even talking to her before I post this, I can say that with her graduation a few months ago, I'm sure she's been too busy to worry about them. It's not easy to keep the board going if I'm not getting help from anyone. No one volunteered to help keep those things going, so I didn't really feel like they would be missed too badly.

If I had the time to come to the board at least once a week and do some interactive posts, what would you guys like to see? Do you want the fic/art prompts back? How about the caption contest? Do you have any suggestions for something brand new that I can get going? I'm totally open for suggestions. This board means a lot to me, and I was so excited to see it really get going, so I don't want to see it completely die. If I could commit to coming at least once a week (probably Sat. or Sun.) and get new posts going, would anyone participate? Since I've been gone for the last three months I have NO idea who's still coming here. I know a lot of you are busy with school and work, so is there anyone wanting to still post here? Please let me know you're still out here and wanting to come to this board.

And I have to apologize for the images disappearing. How long had they been missing? Hopefully not too long, but someone should have emailed me to let me know so I could fix it. lol Oh well, they're back now. *mumbles* stupid photobucket.

Oh wow.... That was a mouthful, board mommy. I think I understand what you're trying to say. Not really sure on what exactly to do to kick start this place up and running again.

The captions looked interesting, that I'll point out.

New members to post or at least keeping the old members posting and active.... I don't know what to suggest.

Some kind of fic where it passes from author to author? An author writes a part of the story, then another author continues it and passes it, see how it goes. Not sure how that sounds, definitely something collaborative or something.....

Any sort of activity, I wonder how that would work with people and the coming holidays. Too busy, so definitely some time after that passes.

I'm intrigued by the captions and prompts, but looks like I joined after things started to slow down.

Perhaps it would be something, setting up the round robin. Getting together how many authors participating in it, time period, length, how long it goes, the details, etc. That would indeed be some kind of collaboration.

I drop by here at least once a day to see if anything is new. I agree, I dont understand why people just join boards and then never post anything, but I believe that alot of people just join boards so they can get access, to stories, pictures, videos and information that they can't find anywhere else. Other just join to see what is goes on at boards and then decide they dont like it and never realize they can delete their profiles. I find it very annoying
