Oh, I loved the ending! That was so cute how Kim held her true feelings back so that Tommy could make the decisions for himself. You really outdid yourself.

This is such a beautiful, wonderful story. So romantic and mature, with so many realistic responses that sometimes I was just in awe of your writing ability. The love making sequence was beautiful, the entire arc with Kim's mom and her marriage to Tommy felt so natural, even in the most painful of moments. I truly loved an enjoyed this story and can't wait to read more of your work.

Once again, I blame my last semester of law school for eating my time, energy, and brain cells. This story deserves much better, but here are my extremely belated thoughts...Chapter OneYou did a fantastic job recapping, then explaining one of the hardest and most debated moments of PR history. Tommy's reactions were very true to character, and I loved the realism you inserted - unlike some other stories, he's not pining over her; he's moved on, but there's still that "dull ache." Well done there. Kim's quiet plea for his help was sweet and poignant, and Tommy's reaction to it was perfectly Tommy. I love how you allowed the bitterness to fade, leaving only fond memories - again, you're sticking with realism, and I really enjoy it. Kim's waking up was adorable, hilarious, and just the perfect touch of amusing to lighten the heavy atmosphere. In fact, you've really got a wonderful handle on Tommy's character - his selflessness; his impulsive, leadership decisions; his ability to take stock, analyze, and organize in just a few moments; and his crazy desire to help Kim ( ) - you've really done a great job with this. Chapter TwoOkay, I absolutely loved how Tommy planned around Kim's shopping sprees as a relaxation measure for her. That's just hilarious - and awesome! And I literally laughed aloud when I read that nothing short of the world's peril (a ranger AGAIN?!) would keep him away. Now THAT'S perfectly Tommy! Again, you kept just the right amount of awkwardness (no initial welcome hug) and friendliness (the lighthearted banter) between them at their first meeting in over a decade. The ring was the perfect touch. When you first mentioned that he pulled it out of storage, I had thought it was going to be the same old story of a high school promise ring... but this was so much more beautiful... and appropriate. You're so talented, Jade.

Chapter ThreeThe intro scene to this chapter was so well written. And Tommy's comparison of lying to Kim's mother versus his attempts as a kid really put things in perspective. The whole conversation, the attempts at mute conversation, it really kept reminding the reader that all was not perfect, and they really hadn't been in contact for over a decade. Pierre's suggestion of elopement did make me laugh aloud - a lot! That is, until Tommy started to seriously consider it. Then it was all just about jaw dropping craziness. You really did an amazing job with this chapter; it flowed so well, the banter picked up perfectly between them, and... well, I will enjoy watching Tommy's theory of 'a wedding has to be easier than being a ranger' collapse in a fiery rain of chaos. Obviously, he's never seen Bridezilla. Chapter FourYou did a fantastic job giving the reader enough glimpses of the frantic wedding preparations while still describing them enough so we could still be aware of exactly what was going on. And the impromptu talk between the soon-to-be bride and groom, Kim's revelation of her fears, and Tommy's almost-revelation of his feelings... you've got a real talent for this. Tommy's heart to heart with Pierre was revealing; not many people take the time to really flesh out his character, and I enjoyed learning more about him. He seems to be more aware of what is actually going on than anyone realizes, and I really liked watching the interplay between them. As for the kiss... wow. Masterful. No fireworks, no craziness... only exactly what happens when soulmates find each other. Just wow, Jade. Well, well done. And that was only outdone by their painfully realistic reunion alone in their honeymoon suite. Tommy's focus on being a good man, a strong supporter, and a not-husband... damn, but was that agonizing.

Chapter Five Telling all the rangers, his family (I love how his dad was amused!)... this was a great telling of all this without harping on all the details. As was the way you allowed days of simmering unspoken passion to pass without going through each one.
I literally couldn't stop laughing when the messages started to pour in, though. Jason's was, by far, the funniest, but Kat's led them down a surprising path.
I didn't expect for the next scene to occur... but I was damn glad when it did. Holy patootie, Jade... that was incredible. Sweet, passionate, and crazy hot. Just wow.
I loved Tommy's bout of conscience in the hotel room, his fear that he was taking advantage of her so true to character... as was his desire to make things real, to fall so very hard for her even after all this time.
Chapter Six I had been looking forward to Jason's reaction, and you didn't leave me hanging. The brotherly teasing, abuse, and understanding between the trio was portrayed so very well.
I loved the Dino-teens - always a great way to introduce a smile into any story, in my opinion - and the hackles between Kim and Haley was handled so well.
The story ended on such a great note, too. No mention of Kim's mother passing (leave that to the future), no mention of Kim's job (leave that to the details)... just them being in love.
This is, by far, one of my favorite stories. I adored it, and am so glad you shared it with us.
