Hey guys!

I'm just letting you guys know that I'm going to be off the net for the next few days (starting in the morning). As most of you know I've recently become addicted to the Twilight Saga, and have been eagerly awaiting the fourth and final book. Well, we're down to just two days, and unfortunately some asshats have gotten copies of the book and posted them on the net. I've had a hell of a time today trying to NOT be spoiled by people who have the maturity of a ten year old, and I can't do that for the next two days. I'm already going crazy from some of the icons I came across totally on accident, and am now dreading the book.

I'd love to meet the people who scanned the pages and posted them on the net in a dark ally late one night, and just beat the holy hell out of them! Seriously, I don't understand people!

Anyway.... as a way of avoiding reading any actual spoilers from the book, I'm going to step away from the net until I actually get the book read, which I'm hoping will be no later than Monday. I get the book from Amazon.com on Saturday, and provided I get some help around the house from the men of the house (ie, them helping me take care of the kids, so I don't have to stop reading every 10 mins), I should be able to get it read by then, and will be back.

I'm leaving, knowing that you guys will behave yourselves while Mommy's away. *gives you all the "mommy" look* LMAO If you need me for anything, email me, as I WILL be checking my email all weekend.

I know it probably seems extreme for me to leave the net for a few days, but I'm not about to take a chance that I get spoiled like I did for Deathly Hallows. A year later and I've still not finished that book, after finding out about the epilogue, and I want to make sure that at least with BD I read the book and find out for myself if I hate it or love it. LOL

So, have a great four day weekend from me, and have fun!

I left before the last HP book too because people spoil everything !!! Hate that ! Fortunately I'm not into the Twilight fandom - just read the books - so no danger there. It'll be published on Monday here so I guess I'll have it on Tuesday and then maybe have some time next week-end to actually read it.

Anyway, I'm back, but sorta in a funk, so may not really be "around" much today, or tomorrow for that matter. So I may not get the stuff done I need to (caption contest, fotm, etc). Bare with me, it'll get done, I promise.

I'm not sure how to start this post, this is the fourth time I've deleted and rewritten the first sentence. I guess the best way is to just come right out and say it.

I'm leaving for a while. I don't know for how long either.

Some stuff's going on in RL right now, and I just don't have any time or energy for the board right now. I always stop by at least once every day, but this is the first time this week that I've stopped in to see what's up, and I had to make myself even do that. I'm sad to say my interest is just.... gone. Completely.

I won't be delegating anyone to take care of things while I'm gone, as that just makes things messy. Feelings get hurt, and people get crazy (I've seen it before at other boards), so I won't be going that route. I trust you guys enough to "play nice", and not have any problems while I'm gone. (Cuz you all kick.ASS like that!!) IF something does happen (say, we get a troll who joins), please send me an email and let me know about it. I will come back to take care of any issues that arise, as it's my duty and responsibility as board Mommy.

Also, the FotM and CapCon will be put on hold while I'm gone. I wasn't doing very well at doing them anyway, so I don't see that that's a big deal. If Kim is willing, she can go ahead and post the Monthly Prompts until I get back, but if she doesn't have time or doesn't want to, that can be put on hold as well.

I'll miss you guys, but this is something that I feel I need to do. Between work, coaching my daughters volleyball team (three nights a week), the kids being in bowling leagues on the weekend, dealing with two little ones -period, family health issues, and worrying about Terra, it's just wearing me out (I used to go to bed at 1am, but I've been finding myself falling asleep by 10 or 11pm every night, and that's just not me :/ ). I feel all out of sorts right now, and just.... BLAH. So... I'm going away.

Even if it's not for something pertaining to the board; you just want to say HI. I check my email about five times a day while I'm at work, and then a few times throughout the evenings. *WAVES* HI GUYS!!!! *KISSES* MWAH! How's it going? Things look like they're going pretty good here, and there's lots of posting going on -YAY!!! LOL Maybe I should just stay away, it's not been this active around here in a looooong time. LOL

I thought I'd come over and post an update about how things are going around here. I've got some pretty big news to share, concerning why I was feeling the way I had been, and such. I just typed it all out the other day in my LJ, so I'm just going to copy/paste that here, cuz I'm too lazy to type it all again. LOL Since it does come straight from my journal, you might not understand some of the crap I ramble on about, but I just don't care about editing it out. Sorry!! LMAO



"Well... as some of you may have noticed, I've not really been around much lately. I had been briefly checking LJ for the last two months, but not really posting much, or commenting much. And then this is the first time in over a week that I've been here at all.

Some of you will know too, that I'd not been feeling well for the last two months too. Constantly tired -falling asleep by 10 at night, which is just NOT me. LOL (1am is normal!) And having issues with my stomach. Well... I found out what was wrong a month ago, but waited until I had a confirmation with my Dr. before saying anything to anyone. I knew what it was, as this isn't the first time I'd felt that way, but wanted to be 100% sure first.

As of last week I have it on good authority (per ultrasound) that I'm pregnant!!! The due date is September 18, which is sort of good, but kind of disappointing too. LOL We were kind of hoping for an August date, as mine, the hubby's, and my oldest daughter's Bdays are in Aug. But then again, this will give us a little bit of breathing room, when it comes times to parties and such, and then my son won't be the only NON Aug. bday in the house anymore. LMAO So it's good, and bad. *snickers*

We're pretty excited, and of course a little bit scared too. Definitely more of the excited though. I told my brother yesterday, and then we told his Mom, Dad, and sister tonight, and they were pretty happy about it. In fact, his sister started screaming to whomever was around "CATHY'S PREGNANT!!" LMAO It was so funny. I'm a little leary of telling my parents though, as I don't want to be disappointed, or want to kill my mother, so... I don't know when I'll tell them. *shrugs*

This is the first night in a long time that I've not been just exhausted by this point in the night, so that's why I'm finally posting. With my first two, I wasn't really sick at all (just a bit tired), but this one's been a bit different. I'm okay during the day, but if I wait too long at night to eat supper, then I get sick afterwards, or have to force myself to eat because nothing sounds good, and then it's a task to keep myself from gagging and wanting to be sick from eating the food. It's really weird, and makes the evenings not-so-fun. *sigh* And then I'm so tired in the evenings, I just sit and read some fics (and don't do my normal rounds of reviewing :/ sorry to you authors I've been neglecting!!!!!) And it doesn't help that we've still got my daughters volleyball two nights a week to do too, and I'm the coach, so I gotta be at the practices too.

And OMG am I ever grouchy!!! LMAO I feel sorry for my family, cuz it's bad. I've had to apologize several times for yelling, and keep reminding them that 'Mommy's going to be a bit cranky(er) for a while', and apologize ahead of time. *rolls eyes*

Well... I guess that's about all I have to say right now........ I've come across several great new fics, so I'll try and work on a new fic rec post for the weekend, or next week. But other than that, I don't have much to say tonight. I'll spend this weekend trying to catch up on my friends' posts, but it will be a task I think. LOL If you've posted something that I really, really need to see, please let me know here, so I can check it out. I'll try to do better on posting updates, and hopefully I'll be over the worst of this soon, and will be back to my normal nightly internetting. LOL

So, there ya go. Now you know why I had to do my little hiatus. This doesn't mean I'm coming back now, but as I get closer to the end of my first trimester, I'm feeling better and having a few more evenings when I don't just feel too tired to do anything at the end of it. I'll do my best to stop in on occasion, and keep you guys updated on how things are going. I've got Spring Break coming up in a week, so I'll stop in and try to catch up on things around here; it's just too overwelming to do tonight. It's been a long day and I am tired now, so will be off to bed soon.

And OMG you crack me up!! You remind me of my mother in law actually. Now that she knows, I wanted to climb a ladder at her house yesterday to get something off the roof, and she wouldn't let me!! She told me I didn't need to be doing that now, and I'm like "OMFG I'm pregnant, not dying!!!" She always makes a big to do out of it, and I'm like "Geez, women have been doing hard work while pregnant since the dawn of time, and they were fine!! Get off my back!!" But I just smile at her and go on. LOL

Anyway, thanks again for the congrats, and then for the laughs. They are both much appreciated.

Congratulations Cathy!!! *big hugs* We've missed you so much around here. I was kind of sad to see you take a leave of absence because I had just come back, but at least it was for a good reason. You just take care of yourself and that little bundle of joy that's waiting to greet the world and we'll try to keep up with the posts. I've been trying to do my share of getting these artists/writers motivated to do what they do best.

I completely know how you feel when it comes to being grouchy during a pregnancy. I was a witch to my husband the WHOLE time I was pregnant with my son. And I couldn't control it. So, as long as your family knows that you love them but you won't have control over your body for the next six months, they'll understand. I hope you have a more pleasant 2nd and 3rd trimester and delivery, and I hope to see you around here soon.

P.S. Don't forget to enjoy those little moments that only a mommy can enjoy while you're pregnant!

Well, from your fingers, to God's ears. LOL I don't know why, but I'm kinda worried about this one, more so than I was the first two. The first two were soooo easy, and this pregnancy has already been a little different, with the not feeling myself, and being sick. Of course, it could have something to do with the fact that I'm in my thirties now, so I'm trying to not worry about it too much. I see the actual DR for the first time this week, and will have all sorts of questions for him.

And please Lord, don't let this one be ugly!!! LMAO Not that I would love it any less, but it will ruin my perfect streak.

Awwww, thanks hun! I've missed you guys too.

My first two pregnancies were pieces of cake, but this one's taking a bit more out of me so far. Could be that I was in my mid twenties with the first two, and I'm already in my thirties now, so I'm not too worried about it, but it is kind of annoying being so frikkin tired all the damn time. LOL Oh, and I'm much more sensitive to smells this time round. Some things that didn't used to bother me, now make me want to hurl just from the smell. Weird. LOL

No weird cravings or anything (yet), but that's not surprising as I didn't have any with the other two either. We'll see if that holds. LOL

and OMG the grouchy factor!! I was awful to my husband with both of my other two, but in all fairness to me, he deserved it. LMAO He does the most idiotic things, thinking they're funny, or okay, and they're just not. And he wasn't very helpful around the house those times either. But, I have to give him tons of credit with this one, cuz he's the one that's been keeping the house clean, helping me out tons. I'm so tired by 7pm, that he's the one that does the dishes and stuff, while I lay on the couch and watch cartoons with the kids till nine when they go to bed. LOL Hope he continues to help out for the next six months, but we'll have to see. Racing season started this weekend for him, so he'll be at the Speedway a lot in the coming months.

You're doing a fabulous job with the prompting, it looks like. Very exciting to see so much activity!! I'm going to try to make frequent stops in, hopefully on weekends at least, cuz I feel like I'm missin so much!


Well, I think I've rambled on enough now.

As far as this pregnancy goes and it being a lot different, it happens. All pregnancies are different, and different things happen during them. I have a feeling that you'll do great! I'm actually feeling better this week, so that's good. I'm officially in my second trimester now, and I feel more like my old self. No, I don't think we'll be finding out. Sorry! LOL I didn't with my first two, and don't want to with this one either, but I gotta say the peer pressure is mounting this time. Everyone's buggin me to find out. LOL I've got six more weeks before I'd even be capable of finding out, so we'll see if I change my mind in that time.
