I don't know if this is possible.. but it's one of the themes from Ars Amatoria Challenges. I want to specifically nominate Dependence by C.A. Elenath in particular - I thought it was well written and very original!

LOL Thanks Rach, I thought it was a good fic too. It's one of my faves cuz it was one of the first SS fics I read. After reading some of Kim's, BV's was the next ones I checked out.
And Rach, you can nominate as many as you'd like, really, I just want to make sure we have at least four so that there's plenty of options to vote from. We've got one week left to nominate and we now have four nominated.

Well, I went back and re-read the whole series after you nominated that one, and I had considered putting the whole thing up as a nominee, because it had a few other drabbles that tied in to the Dependance one. But I've not completely made up my mind yet. Sorry. 
What do you guys think? Should the whole series of drabbles be nominated, or should just Dependance? And if only that one, how should we list it when I put the poll up? I'll let you guys help me decide, cuz I just don't know.

K, I think I'm going to go ahead and close the nominations early, as we've already got eight fics here, and any more than that can be a headache when voting. I'm gonna re-think the nominating process next month, and we'll have new guidelines. I honestly don't think we need more than four fics, so I'll try and come up with some other way. If you have any suggestions, please PM them to me.

I have a question... how come we only get one vote when we can nominate more than one fic? it's sort of unfair, isn't it? because when we go to vote we only get to vote one story.. and all the other ones we've nominated wouldn't get anything.. is that fair? ... sorry I hope I'm not offending anyone.. I was just wondering we could get get a certain number of votes? like three? sorry.. just a suggestion!!

That's a valid suggestion Sasha. Personally, I think one vote is enough... I have enough trouble picking one... Imagine picking three... LOL... If I had a real choice, I'd just vote for all of them... But that would defeat the whole purpose of this poll ;D I think Cat is looking into reformatting how the nomination process should be so we should keep our eyes peeled for that in the coming months. |

Well, voting for more than one would be pointless. We're wanting ONE fic to be the fic of the month, not several. I was simply wanting you guys to put some stories out there that would then be chosen from. I didn't really WANT you guys to nominate more than one (that's what ended up causing the confusion this month and us ending up with 8 choices, which IMO was too many), but as in the SP one, Kim nominated four fics cuz no one else was nominating ANY, so in that case it was good to have you able to nominate more than one.
Just cuz a fic doesn't get the FotM this month, doesn't mean it's not going to at some point. Fics that don't get chosen can be nominated again the next month, and the month after that, etc. What I'm wanting is you to give me your ONE fave fic, and then the members would vote for their fave of those, and then we'd have the FotM winner. And we're not saying that all the fics aren't great, and don't deserve to be recognized... we're just picking one fic to showcase for a certain month....
And Rach is right, I'm going to change the process for next month. I've already got it planned out, you'll find out on the first.

I can see how difficult it must have been for you Cat!! Because we have just a few to choose from... You had all the S/S fics as "nominations"... Gah, I would have gone crazy...
Not that I'm not crazy already... Anyhow, I voted! I can't wait to see who'll be the next FotM... No matter what I think all the nominees were fantastic!
